2 Step evaluation

Two step:the cheapest way in.

The 2 Step programme is the lowest-priced route we offer, from $22. There are two phases - an 8% virtual profit target, then 5% - against an 8% max drawdown that never trails, so your stop-out level is fixed at 92% of your starting balance however far into profit you run. Fail it and the retake is free. It carries a 35% consistency rule and a 3-day minimum, which the other two programmes do not.

What a $50,000 2 Stepaccount actually asks of you

Every prop firm publishes percentages. These are the same rules in dollars, on a $50,000 account. Pick a different size below and the numbers scale with it.

Phase 2 profit target5% of $50,000
$2,500
Daily loss limit5% of $50,000

Honestly

Who this programmesuits, and who it doesn't

Picking the wrong programme is the most expensive mistake on this site, so here is the straight version.

Take it if

  • You want the lowest possible entry price.
  • You want a drawdown that never moves - the stop-out level is fixed from day one.
  • You would rather trade a second phase than pay more up front.
  • You want a free retake if the first attempt does not work out.

Look at another programme if

  • You want no consistency rule - this is the only programme that has one.
  • You want to be funded as fast as possible. Two phases takes longer than one.
  • You trade infrequently. You need at least 3 separate trading days with 0.5% profit.

The trade-off

What this programmecosts you

Every programme gives something up. This is what this one gives up.

A 35% consistency rule

No single day may account for more than 35% of your total profit. One outsized day on an otherwise flat account will not pass, even if the balance is above target. This is the only GFN programme with a consistency rule, and it is the one traders most often misread.

Two phases, and a 3-day minimum

You clear 8%, then 5%, and you need at least 3 separate trading days with 0.5% profit. There is no deadline, but there is more to do than on the 1 Step.

The free retake runs tighter

A retake is genuinely free, but it is not the same account: a 3% daily loss limit, a 4% non-trailing max drawdown and a virtual profit share reduced to 60%. Worth knowing before you count on it.
