Payout rules

Get Funded Now payouts:the limits first.

Payouts run every 14 days, counted from the first trade placed on a funded account. On Instant, each withdrawal is capped at 2% of your starting balance per cycle and is not possible at all until you are 3% above that balance - and on a request, everything above the 3% buffer leaves the account, whether or not it falls inside the cap. 1 Step and 2 Step carry no withdrawal cap. The virtual profit share is 70% on Instant, 80% on 1 Step and 2 Step - 90% with the optional add-on - and 60% on a 2 Step retake. None of this is a statement that you will reach a payout.

The limit, in dollars

What Instantactually pays out

Instant is the programme where the payout rules bite hardest, so they go first. Two percent of the starting balance per 14-day cycle, and nothing until the account is 3% up. These are the same two percentages the pricing table publishes, converted into the numbers you would actually receive.

The part people miss

When you request a withdrawal on Instant, all profit above the 3% buffer leaves the account. You receive up to the 2% cap; anything above the cap is deducted from the account but is not paid to you. A large winning cycle therefore does not turn into a large payout on this programme - it resets the account and pays you the capped amount.

Instant’s 5% max drawdown also trails your equity high, so the stop-out level moves up behind a good run and the account tightens rather than loosens. The 1 Step drawdown follows new highs only until the floor reaches your starting balance, then locks there; the 2 Step drawdown never trails at all. Neither caps withdrawals.

The schedule

How oftenGFN pays

Every 14 days as standard, and the clock is not started by the thing most people assume starts it.

First payout eligibility
14 days after the first funded trade

The countdown begins when the first trade is placed on the funded account - not when the account is issued, and not when the evaluation was traded. Evaluation trades do not count towards it.

After that
Every 14 days

Each subsequent eligibility window falls 14 days after the last, provided the account remains eligible.

Calendar or trading days
Calendar days

It is a time-based eligibility period, not 14 separate trading days. You do not need to manufacture trades to satisfy the calendar - though the inactivity rule still applies.

Faster cycle
7 days, as an optional add-on

Available at checkout on 1 Step. The standard cycle on every plan is 14 days.

If you skip a window
Nothing happens

You are not required to withdraw. Eligible profit can stay in the account and be requested at a later window.

After a payout
The account stays open

A successful payout does not close a funded account. It does reduce the balance, and on some drawdown structures that reduces the cushion between you and the breach level - check the dashboard before deciding how much to take.

A worked cycle

Account issued 1 March, first funded trade placed 8 March. First payout eligibility is 22 March. The eight days between issuance and the first trade form no part of the countdown. The next windows are 5 April, then 19 April, and so on every 14 days.

The share

What proportionyou keep

The virtual profit share is the percentage of eligible simulated profit paid to you. 'Up to 90%' means the add-on tier, so here is each programme with its own number and its own cap.

InstantWithdrawal cap: 2% of the starting balance per cycle
70%

You also need 3% profit above your starting balance before any withdrawal.

1 StepWithdrawal cap: None
80%, or 90% with the add-on

The higher share is an optional extra at checkout, not the default.

2 StepWithdrawal cap: None
80%, or 90% with the add-on

The higher share is an optional extra at checkout, not the default.

2 Step retakeWithdrawal cap: None
60%

A failed 2 Step gives a free retake, and the retake pays a reduced share on tighter rules.

Worked through: an 80% share on $1,000 of eligible simulated profit is $800 to you before any applicable adjustment. Your dashboard displays the share attached to your own account, and the profit split calculator will run any figure you like.

The mechanics

How the moneyreaches you

Payouts are real money even though the trading is simulated. This is the route it takes.

Provider
Rise (Riseworks)

A payments platform built for paying contractors internationally. You are sent a short contract to sign when you request a payout; GFN processes the payment once it is signed.

Methods
ACH, international bank wire or crypto

You choose which of these you want when you set up your Rise account.

Who it can be paid to
The account holder, and nobody else

The Rise account receiving the payout has to belong to the same individual who purchased, verified and traded the GFN account.

Identity checks
Required before a payout

GFN may require identity and compliance verification before issuing a funded account and before processing a payout. Starting KYC early is the single biggest thing you can do to avoid a delay.

Processing time
Depends on verification, method and provider

GFN does not publish a fixed processing time, because the parts that dominate it - verification and the payment rail - are not all ours. Your dashboard shows the status of a request.

Tax
Your responsibility

Treatment depends on your circumstances and jurisdiction, and GFN cannot give individual tax advice.

The failure modes

What stopsa payout

Worth reading before you need it. Most rejected payouts are one of these rather than anything exotic.

A payout will not be paid if

  • The account has been legitimately breached. Profit in a breached account is no longer eligible, including a request already submitted but not yet approved.
  • The rules were broken while the profit was made - copy trading somebody else's positions, letting another person manage the account, or coordinated trading across accounts.
  • Identity verification is incomplete, or the payout details name somebody other than the account holder.
  • The account is no longer eligible under the terms attached to it.

If a payout is taking longer than expected

  • Check KYC is complete and no further verification has been requested.
  • Check the payout details on file are correct and in your own name.
  • Check the account is still eligible and no rule breach is under review.
  • Allow for banking and payment-provider delays outside GFN's control.
  • If all of that looks right, contact support with your account number and the payout request details.

Payout proof

The numberswe don't have yet

This is the section that would normally carry a cumulative payout figure. Ours is empty, and we would rather say why than fill it.

We do not publish payout statistics yet

Plenty of firms publish a cumulative payout total, and almost none of them publish the number that matters next to it - how many traders were paid, out of how many who bought. GFN does not have either figure in a form we can stand behind, so there is nothing here rather than a number we cannot show our working for.

When that changes, this block will carry the distribution rather than the headline: time from first funded trade to first payout, the share of funded accounts that reach one, and the reasons payouts get rejected - including the figures that do not flatter us. Until then, the rules above are the part you can check, and the third-party discussion linked from our reviews page is the part we do not control.
