What a bad daylooks like here
The daily loss limit is the rule that ends most evaluations, so it is worth seeing it as a number rather than a percentage.
You start the day at $5,000. Your daily loss limit is $250, measured from the previous day’s closing balance - so equity reaching $4,750 breaches the account, even if the trade would have come back.
Max drawdown is $400 and does not trail. The account stops out at $4,600 whether you are at $5,000 or $6,500.
