A day count is a light test of whether a result is repeatable. It is also the reason the 2 Step is the cheapest way in: the programme asks for more evidence and charges less for the attempt. If trading infrequently is the plan, that combination is worth reading twice before buying.
Evaluation rules
Minimum trading days:none on two of three.
Instant and 1 Step have no minimum trading days, so a 1 Step evaluation can be completed in a single session. The 2 Step requires at least 3 separate trading days with 0.5% profit, which is $500 on a $100,000 simulated account. Every other rule applies on those days as normal.
The rule
Is there a minimum number of trading days?
Percentages are what the industry publishes. These are the same rules in dollars, worked on a $100,000 simulated account, so there is nothing left to convert.
- Instant minimum days
- None
- 1 Step minimum days
- None
The evaluation can be completed in one day.
- 2 Step minimum days
- 3 days
- 2 Step profit requirement0.5% of $100,000
- $500
Across at least 3 separate trading days.
- What counts as a trading day
- A day with a trade
The dashboard's count is the official one. Days without a fill do not count.
Plan applicability
Which programmesthis rule applies to
Our three programmes do not share one rulebook. This table is the part of the page to read before you buy.
- InstantDoes not apply
None
The account is funded from day one, so there is no day count to satisfy.
- 1 StepDoes not apply
None
Clear the 10% target inside the rules and the number of days it took is not a factor.
- 2 StepApplies
3 days, 0.5% profit
You need $500 of virtual profit on a $100,000 account spread across at least 3 separate days. This rules out passing the 2 Step in one session.
Why it exists
The reasoning,stated plainly
Worked example
The same rule,as a number
A $100,000 simulated account, because that is the size most people are deciding about.
Hitting phase 1 in two days on a $100,000 2 Step
The $8,000 target is met. The phase is not.
- Day 1
- +$5,000
- Day 2
- +$3,000
Total $8,000 - target reached.
- Trading days so far
- 2 of 3
One more day with a trade is still required.
- Consistency check
- Best day 63%
Also above the 35% limit, so there is more to do than one extra day.
Two rules are open at once here, which is the usual shape of a stalled 2 Step. Both are published, both are in the dashboard, and neither is discretionary.
Commonly misread
What tradersget wrong here
Every item below has cost somebody an account. They are published for that reason rather than for completeness.
“GFN has no minimum trading days”
True of Instant and 1 Step, false of the 2 Step, which asks for 3 days and 0.5% profit.
“Opening a platform counts as a trading day”
A day counts when a trade is placed on it. The dashboard is the record.

Every questionabout this rule
The answers our support team works from, each on its own page.
Are there minimum trading days?
If your selected program states that no minimum trading days apply, you do not need to artificially spread trading across multiple days.
Can I pass an Evaluation in one day?
If your account has no minimum trading-day requirement and you legitimately achieve all objectives without violating any rules, yes.
Is there a time limit to pass an Evaluation?
Where your selected GFN program states that there is no time limit, you can take as long as required provided your account remains active and you continue to follow all applicable rules.
Do I need to trade every day during the 14-day period?
No. The payout period is a time-based eligibility period. You do not need to manufacture trades simply to satisfy the calendar.
What is the GFN 2 Step Evaluation?
The 2 Step program contains two Evaluation phases.

The rulesthat sit next to this one
Is there a consistency rule?
Instant and 1 Step have no consistency rule. The 2 Step does: no single day may be more than 35% of total profit. The figures, by programme.
Is there a time limit?
No GFN programme has a time limit. Instant, 1 Step and 2 Step all run without a deadline, and an evaluation can be completed in one day or over months.
What are the profit targets?
Instant has no profit target. The 1 Step asks 10% and the 2 Step 8% then 5% - $8,000 then $5,000 on a $100,000 account.
