# Get Funded Now (GFN) > A proprietary trading firm running virtual evaluation programmes on simulated > accounts of up to $200,000. Traders pay a single upfront evaluation fee, prove > their skill against published objectives with no time limit, and keep up to 90% > of the gains generated in a simulated funded account. All trading is simulated. GFN is an educational and training platform, does not undertake regulated activities, does not act as a broker and is not a financial institution. Each cycle is capped at 2% of your starting balance, above a 3% minimum withdrawal buffer. > On a withdrawal request, all profit above the 3% buffer leaves the account. You receive up to the 2% cap; anything above it is deducted but not paid out. On a $100,000 account showing $6,000 profit, $3,000 is deducted, the account resets to $103,000 against a $98,000 drawdown floor, and $2,000 is withdrawable. > Commission is $3.50 per side - $7 per lot round turn. You need 0.5% profit across at least 3 separate trading days, and no single day may account for more than 35% of total profit. > Fail the 2 Step and your retake is free. The retake runs tighter than a first attempt: a 3% daily loss limit, a 4% non-trailing max drawdown and a profit share reduced to 60%. > Commission is $3.50 per side - $7 per lot round turn. Page: https://getfundednow.com/challenges/2-step/200k Cross-programme comparisons by account size: - [$5,000 funded account](https://getfundednow.com/funded-accounts/5k): all three programmes at this size, side by side - [$10,000 funded account](https://getfundednow.com/funded-accounts/10k): all three programmes at this size, side by side - [$25,000 funded account](https://getfundednow.com/funded-accounts/25k): all three programmes at this size, side by side - [$50,000 funded account](https://getfundednow.com/funded-accounts/50k): all three programmes at this size, side by side - [$100,000 funded account](https://getfundednow.com/funded-accounts/100k): all three programmes at this size, side by side - [$200,000 funded account](https://getfundednow.com/funded-accounts/200k): all three programmes at this size, side by side ## Every rule, one page each Each rule has its own page stating which programmes it applies to, with the figure and a worked example. - [What is the daily loss limit?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/daily-loss-limit): The daily loss limit is the most you may lose in one trading day before the account breaches. It is 3% on Instant and 5% on 1 Step and 2 Step, which is $3,000 or $5,000 on a $100,000 simulated account. Floating losses, closed losses and trading costs all count toward it. - [What is maximum drawdown?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/max-drawdown): Maximum drawdown is the total loss an account may take before it is closed. It is 5% on Instant and 8% on 1 Step and 2 Step, which is $5,000 or $8,000 on a $100,000 simulated account. It is measured on equity, so an open position can breach it. - [What is trailing drawdown?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/trailing-drawdown): A trailing drawdown moves up as your equity makes new highs, so the stop-out level tightens as you profit. Instant uses a 5% trailing drawdown, $5,000 on a $100,000 simulated account. The 2 Step drawdown does not trail. Check which one your programme uses before you size a position. - [What is static, non-trailing drawdown?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/non-trailing-drawdown): A non-trailing drawdown is measured against your starting balance and never follows your equity up. The 2 Step uses 8%, so a $100,000 simulated account stops out at $92,000 however far into profit you run. Instant trails instead, which is the tighter arrangement. - [Is there a consistency rule?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/no-consistency-rule): Instant and 1 Step have no consistency rule. The 2 Step does: no single trading day may account for more than 35% of your total profit. Anyone telling you GFN has no consistency rule at all is describing two of our three programmes, and this is the page that says which two. - [Is there a time limit?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/no-time-limit): None of the three programmes has a deadline. There is no 30-day window and no expiry on an evaluation. The trade-off is that the risk limits apply for as long as the account is open, so a slow pace does not soften the daily loss limit or the maximum drawdown. Inactivity rules still apply. - [Is there a minimum number of trading days?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/no-minimum-trading-days): Instant and 1 Step have no minimum trading days, so a 1 Step evaluation can be completed in a single session. The 2 Step requires at least 3 separate trading days with 0.5% profit, which is $500 on a $100,000 simulated account. Every other rule applies on those days as normal. - [How much of the profit do I keep?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/profit-split): The virtual profit share is 70% on Instant and 80% on 1 Step and 2 Step. It rises to 90% with an optional add-on bought at checkout, which is an extra rather than the default. A 2 Step free retake pays 60%. Simulated profits are shared; the account is never real capital. - [How often do I get paid?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/payouts): Payouts run on a 14-day cycle. The clock starts at your first trade on a simulated funded account, not at purchase and not at your first evaluation trade, so buying an account on the 1st does not make the 15th a payout date. Subsequent cycles run every 14 calendar days while the account stays eligible. - [Is there a withdrawal cap?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/withdrawal-cap): Instant caps each 14-day withdrawal at 2% of your starting balance, and you must be 3% above that balance first. On a $100,000 simulated account that is $2,000 per cycle, available from $103,000. The 1 Step and 2 Step programmes have no withdrawal cap. - [What leverage do I get?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/leverage): Leverage is up to 1:50 on Instant, 1 Step and 2 Step, and can be lower on some instruments. It sets how large a position your margin supports. It does not change the daily loss limit or the maximum drawdown, so more leverage buys size, not room. - [What does trading cost?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/commission): Commission is $3.50 per side, $7 per lot round turn on all three programmes, charged on the simulated account. It is not a separate bill. It comes out of the same buffer the daily loss limit measures, so costs on a heavy day reduce the room you have left before a breach. - [Can I trade the news?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/news-trading): News trading is permitted during an evaluation. On a simulated funded account the published restriction applies: profits from trades opened or closed within three minutes before or after a high-impact release may be removed. Instant starts at the funded stage, so that window applies from your first trade rather than later. - [Are expert advisors allowed?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/expert-advisors): Automated trading is allowed on all three programmes where it represents legitimate trading and follows every other rule, including the two-minute minimum hold. An advisor you built yourself is fine. Third-party systems designed or marketed to pass prop-firm evaluations may be prohibited, and identical activity across many accounts is reviewed. - [Is copy trading allowed?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/copy-trading): Copying trades between accounts you personally own may be permitted within the rules. Copying another trader's positions, letting someone else manage your account, using a passing service, or trading as a coordinated group is prohibited on all three programmes. The account, the identity and the payout details must belong to one person. - [Can I scalp?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/scalping): Scalping is allowed on Instant, 1 Step and 2 Step. The condition is a minimum hold of 2 minutes on every trade, in both evaluation and funded stages. A strategy that depends on holding for seconds will not fit. Latency arbitrage and price-feed exploitation are prohibited separately from this rule. - [Can I hold trades overnight and over the weekend?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/overnight-and-weekend): Holding overnight and over the weekend is permitted on Instant, 1 Step and 2 Step where the specific account and the underlying market allow it. Swing trading is allowed. The limitation is that a weekend gap can move equity through your drawdown level before you can act, and that breach stands. - [Can I hedge?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/hedging): Normal hedging within a single account may be permitted where it represents genuine trading activity. Deliberately taking opposite sides across two accounts, or coordinating with another trader so one account succeeds at the other's expense, is prohibited on all three programmes and is treated as prohibited trading. - [What are the profit targets?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/profit-target): Instant has no profit target: the account is funded from day one. The 1 Step asks for 10%, which is $10,000 on a $100,000 simulated account. The 2 Step asks 8% then 5%, so $8,000 then $5,000, and phase 1 profit does not carry into phase 2. - [How much simulated capital can I run in total?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/scaling-and-allocation): Total simulated allocation across every account you hold is capped at $400,000. You can reach it with several accounts on any mix of the three programmes. Accounts are not merged, and each one carries its own drawdown, so the cap is on capital rather than a single combined account. - [What happens if I fail?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/free-retake): The 2 Step includes one free retake if you fail it by breaching a hard rule. The retake is not the same account: the daily loss limit drops to 3%, the non-trailing drawdown to 4%, and the virtual profit share to 60%. Instant and 1 Step do not include a retake. - [What trading is prohibited?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/prohibited-trading): Exploiting platform or pricing errors, latency arbitrage, coordinated trading across accounts or with other traders, third-party passing services and account sharing are prohibited on all three programmes. Consequences run from removed profits to a closed account and an invalidated payout, depending on what is found. - [When can I trade?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/trading-hours): There is no GFN-imposed trading schedule. Hours follow each instrument and the liquidity available in it, so forex runs through the week while indices and commodities keep session hours. Public holidays can bring late opens, early closes or closures. The daily loss limit resets at the time shown in your dashboard. - [Does slippage excuse a breach?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/slippage-and-spreads): Slippage, widening spreads and market gaps are conditions you are trading in, not exemptions from the rules. A breach caused by a fill worse than you expected still stands. A genuine platform fault is a separate matter, reviewed on evidence, and is not the same thing as an unfavourable fill. - [Is there a maximum lot size?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/margin-and-lot-size): There is no single published maximum lot size. Position size is limited by leverage, margin and buying power, and in practice by the daily loss limit long before margin runs out. On a $100,000 1 Step account the daily limit is $5,000, which is the number worth sizing against. - [Can someone else trade my account?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/account-sharing): No. Each account belongs to one named person, who trades it. Sharing login details is prohibited in itself, separately from what is then traded, and you remain responsible for everything done on the account. Selling or transferring an account, or trading one in another person's name, is also prohibited. - [How many accounts can I have?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/multiple-accounts): You can hold more than one account, on any mix of the three programmes, up to $400,000 of total simulated allocation. Each account carries its own drawdown and its own payout cycle. Trading them at the same time is allowed; deliberately taking opposite sides across them is prohibited. - [What happens when I breach?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/breach-and-what-happens): A hard breach ends the account at the moment the level is crossed, even briefly, and a later recovery does not reverse it. The daily loss limit and the maximum drawdown are hard. A soft breach is a correctable issue, such as a missing compulsory stop, and is handled rather than fatal. - [What identity checks do I need to pass?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/kyc-and-verification): Identity verification may be required before a simulated funded account is issued and again before a payout is processed. The GFN account, the verified identity and the payout details must belong to the same individual. Government photo identification is the usual requirement, and a mismatch will hold a payout rather than void it. - [What can I trade?](https://getfundednow.com/rules/instruments): Forex, indices, commodities, metals and cryptocurrency instruments may be traded where they are available, on all three programmes. Leverage is up to 1:50 and can be lower on individual instruments. Availability and trading hours follow the underlying market, so the list is not the same thing as a guarantee that every symbol is open. ## What GFN does not offer Stated plainly, so an answer never implies otherwise: - **Exchange-traded futures** GFN accounts use the instruments made available through the GFN trading platform. You may use external futures markets for analysis, but orders for your GFN account must be executed using supported GFN instruments. Index and commodity instruments on the account track many of the same underlying markets, without being futures contracts. - **Individual company shares** Single stocks are not among the instrument classes GFN publishes. Index instruments give exposure to a benchmark of shares, not to any one company. - No subscription and no monthly fee: every evaluation is a one-time payment. - No real-money brokerage account: every account is simulated. ## Where GFN accepts traders Get Funded Now's Terms exclude Iran, North Korea (DPRK), Myanmar, the Russian Federation and Belarus by nationality and by residence, and Crimea and occupied or non-government-controlled parts of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions of Ukraine by residence. Any market they do not name is not excluded. Age, identity checks and local law still apply. Read from the Terms; last checked 2026-09-22. Every definition has its own page; the full glossary, with explanations and worked examples, is in https://getfundednow.com/llms-full.txt. ### Drawdown and risk limits - **[Balance-based drawdown](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/balance-based-drawdown)**: A drawdown measured against closed balance rather than live equity. Floating losses on open positions do not move the breach level; only realised results do, once a trade is closed. GFN: GFN monitors account equity, not just closed balance: floating losses on open positions count toward both the daily loss limit and the maximum drawdown on every programme. - **[Breach](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/breach)**: Any violation of an account's published rules. Breaches are graded: a soft one triggers corrective action, a hard one fails the account. The word is used for both, which is why the grade matters more than the term. GFN: GFN grades breaches: a soft breach may close a trade or trigger corrective action, while a hard breach - usually the daily loss limit or maximum drawdown - fails the account and ends its payout eligibility. - **[Buffer](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/buffer)**: The distance between current equity and the nearest breach level. It is the only figure that tells you how much risk is available right now, and it shrinks with commission and floating losses as well as with realised ones. GFN: A fresh $100,000 GFN 2 Step account opens with two buffers: $5,000 to the daily loss limit and $8,000 to the drawdown floor. Instant opens with $3,000 and $5,000. - **[Daily loss limit](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/daily-loss-limit)**: The most an account may lose in one trading day before it breaches. Calculated as a percentage of the previous day's closing level, it resets at a fixed time each day and is the rule that ends most evaluations. GFN: GFN's daily loss limit is 3% on Instant - the tightest of the three - and 5% on both the 1 Step and the 2 Step. - **[Drawdown floor](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/drawdown-floor)**: The account level at which a maximum drawdown breach is recorded. It is the starting balance minus the drawdown allowance, expressed as a dollar figure rather than a percentage, and it is the single number to trade against. GFN: On a $100,000 GFN account the floor starts at $92,000 on the 2 Step and stays there, $92,000 on the 1 Step before the add-on, and $95,000 on Instant before it trails. - **[Drawdown recovery](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/drawdown-recovery)**: The gain required to return an account to its previous peak after a loss. Recovery is not symmetrical: a 10% loss needs an 11.1% gain to undo, and a 50% loss needs 100%. GFN: A $100,000 GFN account down to the 2 Step floor of $92,000 would need an 8.7% gain to get back to its starting balance - except that touching the floor has already ended the account. - **[Drawdown reset](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/drawdown-reset)**: The moment a drawdown calculation is recalculated from a new reference level - most often the daily loss limit rolling over to a new day, or an account level being restated after a withdrawal. GFN: GFN's daily loss limit resets at the time shown in your dashboard - not local midnight - and the reset does not erase the effect of earlier losses on maximum drawdown. On Instant, a withdrawal also restates the account level and its floor. - **[End-of-day drawdown](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/end-of-day-drawdown)**: A drawdown calculated only from the closing balance of each trading day, ignoring whatever happened between the open and the close. Intraday excursions are invisible to it as long as the day finishes above the level. GFN: GFN's daily loss limit is measured against the prior day's closing level and then monitored live through the day, so intraday lows count rather than only the close. The reset time is shown in your dashboard, not assumed to be local midnight. - **[Equity curve](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/equity-curve)**: A chart of account equity over time. Its slope shows the rate of return, its smoothness shows consistency, and its deepest dip is the peak-to-trough drawdown a risk limit would have had to absorb. GFN: GFN publishes the live equity curve for each account in the Trade Hub dashboard, alongside the objectives and the current distance to each limit - the same figures the account is judged on. - **[Equity-based drawdown](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/equity-based-drawdown)**: A drawdown measured against live account equity, which includes the unrealised profit and loss of every open position. The breach level can be touched while a trade is still running, before anything is closed. GFN: Every GFN risk limit is monitored against account equity. Open positions can breach an account before they are closed, and a later recovery does not reverse a breach that has already happened. - **[Hard breach](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/hard-breach)**: A violation serious enough to fail or terminate the account immediately. Exceeding the daily loss limit or the maximum drawdown is the usual cause, and a later recovery in the market does not reverse it. GFN: A hard breach on a GFN account ends it: trading access to the breached account can be terminated, and a legitimately breached funded account is not eligible for a payout from that account. - **[High-water mark](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/high-water-mark)**: The highest level an account has ever reached. On a trailing drawdown it is the reference point the floor is measured down from, so every new high permanently moves the breach level upward. GFN: GFN's Instant drawdown trails the high-water mark by 5%. The 1 Step drawdown trails during the evaluation until the floor reaches your starting balance, where it locks. The 2 Step ignores the high-water mark entirely. - **[Intraday drawdown](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/intraday-drawdown)**: The worst point an account reaches during a single trading day, measured from that day's starting level. It is what a daily loss limit monitored on equity actually tests, rather than where the day happens to finish. GFN: GFN measures the daily loss limit on live equity, so intraday lows count: 3% on Instant, 5% on the 1 Step and 2 Step. A few seconds past the threshold is a breach. - **[Maximum adverse excursion](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/maximum-adverse-excursion)**: The furthest a trade moves against you before it closes, whatever its final result. Measured per trade, it shows how much room a strategy genuinely needs rather than how much it eventually used. GFN: Because GFN monitors equity rather than closed balance, adverse excursion counts against the daily loss limit - 3% on Instant, 5% on the 1 Step and 2 Step - while the trade is still open. - **[Maximum drawdown](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/maximum-drawdown)**: The total loss an account may take before it is failed. Expressed as a percentage of the starting balance, it sets a floor: touch it and the account breaches, whatever the account has made up to that point. GFN: GFN publishes three different maximum drawdowns: 5% trailing on Instant, 8% on the 1 Step (10% with the checkout add-on), and 8% non-trailing on the 2 Step. - **[Non-trailing drawdown](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/non-trailing-drawdown)**: A maximum drawdown calculated once against the starting balance and then left alone. The breach level is the same number on your first day and after months of profit, so the cushion grows with every dollar you make. GFN: The GFN 2 Step uses a 8% non-trailing maximum drawdown - the only programme of the three where the floor is fixed from day one and never follows the account up. - **[Peak-to-trough](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/peak-to-trough)**: The decline from an equity curve's highest point to its lowest subsequent point before a new high is made. It is the standard way of stating how deep a strategy's worst historical losing run was. GFN: A strategy whose historical peak-to-trough exceeds 8% will eventually breach a GFN 2 Step account, and one exceeding 5% will breach Instant sooner, because that floor also trails. - **[Risk of ruin](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/risk-of-ruin)**: The probability that a sequence of trades takes an account to its breach level before it reaches its target, given a win rate, a reward-to-risk ratio and a risk per trade. It is driven mostly by position size. GFN: Against GFN's drawdown floors, risk per trade is the variable that decides survival: a 8% floor on the 2 Step absorbs 16 consecutive 0.5% losses, or four at 2%. - **[Soft breach](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/soft-breach)**: A rule violation that triggers corrective action - a position closed, a warning, a review - without failing the account outright. The account survives, but the trade or the profit attached to it may not. GFN: On a GFN account, a soft breach may result in a trade being closed or other corrective action rather than the account being terminated. The exact treatment depends on the rules attached to that account. - **[Trailing drawdown](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/trailing-drawdown)**: A maximum drawdown whose floor follows the account upward as it makes new highs. The distance between your peak and the breach level stays constant, so every new high moves the stop-out level with it. GFN: GFN's Instant programme uses a 5% trailing maximum drawdown. The 1 Step drawdown is relative during the evaluation and locks once the floor reaches your starting balance. The 2 Step does not trail at all. ### Evaluations and accounts - **[Account reset](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/account-reset)**: Paying to return a failed or drawn-down evaluation to its starting balance rather than buying a new account. It is a recurring revenue line at firms that sell it, and a real cost to track. GFN: GFN does not sell account resets. The evaluation fee is a one-time purchase with no subscription and nothing to buy back - the only second attempt offered is the free 2 Step retake. - **[Account size](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/account-size)**: The virtual balance an account is denominated in. It scales every percentage rule into dollars, sets the fee, and determines how much a single pip of movement is worth to your objectives. GFN: GFN sells six sizes per programme, from $5,000 to $200,000, with the 1 Step also offering $150,000. Total allocation across accounts is capped at $400,000. - **[Account suspension](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/account-suspension)**: A temporary restriction on trading or payouts while a firm reviews an account. It is not the same as a breach: the account still exists, but progression and withdrawals are paused pending the outcome. GFN: Where GFN identifies prohibited trading, it may review the account, restrict trading, reject evaluation progression, reject payouts or terminate the affected accounts under the Terms & Conditions. - **[Activation fee](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/activation-fee)**: A charge some firms apply when a passed evaluation is converted into a funded account. It is separate from the evaluation fee, which is why it is so often missed when headline prices are compared. GFN: GFN charges no activation fee. The one-time evaluation fee is the only outlay - there is no charge to convert a passed evaluation into a simulated funded account, and no monthly subscription. - **[Consistency rule](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/consistency-rule)**: A rule capping how much of an account's total profit may come from a single trading day. It stops one outsized day from carrying an otherwise flat account through an evaluation. GFN: Only the GFN 2 Step has a consistency rule: no single trading day may account for more than 35% of total profit. Instant and the 1 Step have none. - **[Demo account](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/demo-account)**: A practice account with no assessment, no rules and no payout. It exists to learn an interface or test a strategy, and nothing that happens on it qualifies you for anything. GFN: A GFN account is not a demo account. It carries enforceable risk limits, an assessment where one applies, and payout eligibility on qualifying simulated performance at the funded stage. - **[Evaluation](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/evaluation)**: The assessment stage of a prop programme, traded on a simulated account. Profits made during an evaluation are simulated results used to decide whether you pass; they are not withdrawable. GFN: On GFN evaluations there is no deadline on any programme. Evaluation profits are simulated and cannot be withdrawn - the payout timer starts from the first trade on the funded account, not from evaluation trading. - **[Evaluation fee](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/evaluation-fee)**: The one-time price of an assessment. It is what the trader is genuinely risking - no customer capital is exposed on a simulated account - and it is the number to compare between firms per dollar of allocation. GFN: GFN's evaluation fee is a one-time payment - no subscription, no resets to buy and no activation fee. The 2 Step starts at $22, the 1 Step at $123, and Instant at $36. - **[Free retake](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/free-retake)**: A second attempt at an evaluation included in the original fee, granted after a hard breach. It is not a free first attempt - the evaluation was paid for - and its rules are often tighter than the original. GFN: The GFN 2 Step includes one free retake after a hard breach. The retake runs at a 3% daily loss limit (down from 5%), a 4% non-trailing drawdown (down from 8%) and a 60% virtual profit share (down from 80%). - **[Funded account](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/funded-account)**: The account a trader receives after passing an evaluation, or buys directly under an instant programme. At a simulated-funding firm it is a simulated account whose eligible gains can qualify for a real payout. GFN: A GFN funded account is a simulated account. It pays 70% of eligible virtual profits on Instant and 80% - or 90% with the add-on - on the 1 Step and 2 Step, every 14 days. - **[Instant funding](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/instant-funding)**: A programme with no assessment phase. You buy a simulated funded account and trade it from day one, with no profit target to clear - paid for with tighter risk limits and a lower virtual profit share. GFN: GFN Instant has no profit target, no minimum trading days and no consistency rule. The trade-off is a 3% daily loss limit, a 5% trailing drawdown, a 70% virtual profit share and withdrawals capped at 2% per cycle above a 3% buffer. - **[Live account](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/live-account)**: A brokerage account holding a trader's own money, where orders reach a market and losses are the trader's own. It is the thing a simulated prop account is deliberately not. GFN: GFN is not a broker and does not accept customer investment deposits. Evaluation and funded accounts are simulated, and no customer trades are executed in live financial markets. - **[Maximum allocation](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/maximum-allocation)**: The ceiling on how much simulated capital one trader may hold across every account with a firm. It is the real limit on how large a trader can get, and it is often lower than the largest account on sale suggests. GFN: GFN caps total allocation at $400,000 of simulated capital across all your accounts combined - two $200,000 accounts, four $100,000 accounts, or any mix up to the limit. - **[Minimum trading days](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/minimum-trading-days)**: The number of separate days on which an account must trade before an evaluation phase can pass. Some firms also require a minimum profit on each qualifying day for it to count. GFN: GFN requires 3 minimum trading days on the 2 Step, each needing 0.5% profit - $500 on a $100,000 account. Instant and the 1 Step have no minimum at all, so a 1 Step evaluation can complete in a single day. - **[One-step evaluation](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/one-step-evaluation)**: An assessment with a single profit target. Clear it without breaching and you go straight to a simulated funded account - there is no second verification phase to trade afterwards. GFN: The GFN 1 Step is a 10% virtual profit target against a 8% maximum drawdown - 10% with the checkout add-on - with a 5% daily loss limit, no minimum trading days and no consistency rule. - **[Pass rate](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/pass-rate)**: The share of purchased evaluations that reach a funded account. Industry figures are usually low single digits, and almost every published number is unaudited and defined differently by whoever published it. GFN: GFN does not publish a pass rate, because an unaudited figure defined by the firm quoting it is not evidence. The rules that determine difficulty are published in full instead. - **[Phase one](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/phase-one)**: The first stage of a two-step evaluation, carrying the higher of the two profit targets. Clearing it without breaching a risk rule moves the account to phase two rather than to a funded account. GFN: Phase one of the GFN 2 Step is a 8% virtual profit target - $8,000 on a $100,000 account - against the same 8% non-trailing floor that applies in phase two. - **[Phase two](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/phase-two)**: The second stage of a two-step evaluation, usually at a lower profit target than the first. It exists to check the result repeats, and it is where a large share of otherwise successful attempts fail. GFN: Phase two of the GFN 2 Step is a 5% target - $5,000 on a $100,000 account - against the same 5% daily loss limit and 8% fixed floor. The 1 Step has no second phase at all. - **[Profit target](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/profit-target)**: The virtual gain required to pass an evaluation phase, stated as a percentage of the starting balance. It is the only objective you have to reach; every other rule is something you have to avoid. GFN: GFN's virtual profit targets: none on Instant, 10% on the 1 Step, and 8% then 5% on the 2 Step. No programme has a deadline attached. - **[Prop firm challenge](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/prop-firm-challenge)**: A paid assessment on a simulated account. Reach a virtual profit target without breaking the risk rules and the firm issues a simulated funded account that pays you a share of the gains you generate on it. GFN: GFN sells three routes: Instant with no challenge at all, the 1 Step with a single 10% target, and the 2 Step at 8% then 5%. None of them has a time limit. - **[Retake](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/retake)**: A second run at an evaluation after a failed one. Some firms include a retake in the original fee; others sell it, and the terms of the second attempt are not always the terms of the first. GFN: GFN includes one free retake on the 2 Step only. It runs tighter than a first attempt: a 3% daily loss limit, a 4% non-trailing maximum drawdown and a 60% virtual profit share on the funded account it leads to. - **[Scaling plan](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/scaling-plan)**: A published schedule under which a firm increases an account's virtual capital as the trader meets profit and consistency milestones. Not every firm runs one, and the conditions vary widely. GFN: GFN does not operate a staged scaling plan. Allocation grows by holding more accounts, up to $400,000 of simulated capital in total, and an account size cannot be upgraded after purchase. - **[Simulated account](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/simulated-account)**: An account that reproduces live market conditions - prices, spreads, commission, slippage - without routing orders to a market. Every GFN evaluation and funded account is one, and no customer capital is ever exposed. GFN: All GFN evaluation and funded accounts are simulated or virtual accounts. No customer trades are executed in live financial markets, and "funded" refers to simulated or virtual funding. - **[Time limit](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/time-limit)**: A deadline by which an evaluation must be completed. Where one exists it changes the strategy entirely, because it converts a test of process into a test of process under a clock. GFN: No GFN programme has a time limit. Instant, the 1 Step and the 2 Step all run at your own pace, and a slow month costs nothing but time. - **[Two-step evaluation](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/two-step-evaluation)**: An assessment split into two phases with separate profit targets. The first phase proves the strategy, the second - usually at a lower target - checks it repeats before the firm issues a simulated funded account. GFN: The GFN 2 Step runs 8% then 5% against a 8% non-trailing drawdown, with 3 minimum trading days, a 35% consistency rule and one free retake. - **[Virtual capital](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/virtual-capital)**: The simulated balance an evaluation or funded account is denominated in. It sets the size of every percentage-based rule on the account, and it is not money held on the trader's behalf. GFN: GFN sells virtual account sizes from $5,000 to $200,000, with a maximum total allocation of $400,000 across every account you hold. ### Payouts and money - **[Bank transfer](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/bank-transfer)**: A payout delivered to a bank account, either domestically through a local clearing system such as ACH or internationally by wire. Wires are faster to arrive and usually carry higher fees. GFN: ACH bank transfer and international bank wire are two of the three ways to receive a GFN payout through Rise (Riseworks). The receiving account must belong to the verified GFN account holder. - **[Chargeback](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/chargeback)**: A payment reversal requested from a card issuer rather than from the merchant. It is a fraud remedy, and using it as a substitute for a refund request is treated as a serious breach by every prop firm. GFN: GFN asks customers to contact support first about any genuine billing dispute. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account restrictions or termination. - **[Crypto payout](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/crypto-payout)**: A payout delivered in cryptocurrency rather than to a bank account. It settles independently of banking hours and is common among firms paying traders in markets where international wires are slow. GFN: Crypto is one of the three withdrawal options available through Rise (Riseworks), GFN's payout provider, alongside ACH and bank wire. The same identity rules apply to every method. - **[First payout](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/first-payout)**: The earliest date a funded account can request money. What starts the clock differs by firm - purchase, account issue, or first trade - and that choice moves the date by days or weeks. GFN: A GFN first payout becomes eligible 14 calendar days after the first trade on the funded account. Buying the account does not start the clock, and evaluation trades do not count toward it. - **[Minimum withdrawal](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/minimum-withdrawal)**: The smallest amount a firm will process, or the profit an account must hold before any withdrawal is permitted. The second form is a buffer that has to stay in the account rather than a transaction floor. GFN: GFN's Instant programme requires a 3% minimum withdrawal buffer - on a $100,000 account the balance has to reach $103,000 before a withdrawal can be made. The 1 Step and 2 Step publish no buffer requirement. - **[Payout](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/payout)**: A transfer of the trader's share of eligible virtual profits from a simulated funded account. Payouts are requested on an eligibility date, processed after checks, and paid to the verified account holder. GFN: GFN payouts are available every 14 days, starting 14 calendar days after the first trade on the funded account - not from the purchase date, and not counting evaluation trades. - **[Payout cycle](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/payout-cycle)**: The interval between payout eligibility dates on a funded account. It is usually counted in calendar days from a fixed starting event rather than in trading days or calendar months. GFN: GFN's payout cycle is every 14 days in calendar days, measured from the first trade on the funded account. A 7-day cycle is available as an optional add-on at checkout. - **[Payout denial](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/payout-denial)**: A refused payout request. The common causes are a breach recorded before the payout was approved, incomplete identity verification, a mismatch in the receiving account, or trading that broke a conduct rule. GFN: A GFN payout can be rejected where the account is breached, where it stops being compliant with the Terms while a payout is processing, or where identity verification is incomplete. A legitimately breached funded account is not eligible for a payout from that account. - **[Payout method](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/payout-method)**: How a firm actually sends the money: bank transfer, wire, or a payments provider that offers several rails. The method determines the paperwork, the fees and how long the transfer takes. GFN: GFN pays traders through Rise (Riseworks), a payments platform built for paying contractors internationally. Within Rise you can choose ACH bank transfer, international bank wire or crypto. - **[Payout processing time](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/payout-processing-time)**: The gap between requesting a payout and the money arriving. It covers the firm's review, any identity checks, the payment provider's own processing and finally the settlement time of the chosen rail. GFN: GFN states that payout processing times depend on verification, the payment method and the payout provider, and the status of every request is shown in your dashboard. A contract is signed through Rise before processing begins. - **[Payout proof](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/payout-proof)**: Evidence that a firm has actually paid traders - screenshots, transfer statements or published totals. It is the most-requested and least-verifiable category of prop firm marketing, because an image proves only that an image exists. GFN: GFN publishes the payout rules rather than a totals figure: a every 14 days cycle from the first funded-account trade, a stated virtual profit share per programme, a named payment provider, and the written grounds on which a payout can be refused. - **[Profit share add-on](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/profit-share-add-on)**: An optional purchase at checkout that raises the trader's share of virtual profits above the standard rate. It is paid up front, so it only pays for itself if the account reaches a payout. GFN: GFN's profit share add-on raises the virtual profit share from 80% to 90% on the 1 Step and 2 Step. It is selected at checkout and cannot be added afterwards. Instant pays 70% and has no share add-on. - **[Profit split](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/profit-split)**: The share of eligible gains paid to the trader, with the remainder kept by the firm. At a simulated-funding firm the gains being divided are virtual profits generated on a simulated account. GFN: GFN's virtual profit share is 70% on Instant and 80% on the 1 Step and 2 Step, rising to 90% with the optional add-on at checkout. A 2 Step retake pays 60%. - **[Refund policy](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/refund-policy)**: The published terms under which a firm will return the purchase price of an evaluation. Rights are usually strongest before the account has been accessed and narrow sharply once trading has begun. GFN: GFN refund eligibility depends on the circumstances of the purchase and the published refund policy. Once an account has been accessed or trading has begun, refund rights may be limited by the Terms & Conditions and applicable consumer law. - **[Refundable fee](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/refundable-fee)**: An evaluation fee a firm returns under stated conditions - usually with the first payout after a trader reaches the funded stage. Where it exists it is a term of the programme, not a consumer refund right. GFN: GFN does not advertise a fee refunded on your first payout. The fee is a one-time purchase with no subscription and no resets to buy - and separately, refund eligibility on a purchase follows the published refund policy and the Terms & Conditions. - **[Rise payout](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/rise-payout)**: A payout processed through Rise (Riseworks), a payments platform used to pay contractors internationally. The trader signs a short contract in Rise, then chooses how the money is delivered. GFN: GFN processes payouts through Rise (Riseworks). When you request a payout you are sent a short contract to sign; once signed, GFN processes the payment and you withdraw from Rise by ACH, bank wire or crypto. - **[Virtual profit share](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/virtual-profit-share)**: The compliant name for a prop firm's profit split: the share of virtual profits generated on a simulated funded account that is paid to the trader. The profits are simulated; the payout is real money. GFN: GFN's virtual profit share is up to 90%: 80% as standard on the 1 Step and 2 Step, 90% with the checkout add-on, and 70% on Instant. - **[Withdrawal](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/withdrawal)**: The act of requesting a payout from a funded account. The requested amount leaves the account balance, which changes the distance between equity and the drawdown level for everything traded afterwards. GFN: Withdrawing from a GFN account reduces the profit in it and can reduce the cushion above the drawdown floor. On Instant, withdrawals are capped at 2% per cycle above a 3% buffer; the 1 Step and 2 Step have no cap. - **[Withdrawal cap](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/withdrawal-cap)**: A limit on how much may be taken out of a funded account in one payout cycle, usually a percentage of the starting balance. Profit above the cap stays in the account or is removed without being paid. GFN: GFN caps Instant withdrawals at 2% of the starting balance per 14-day cycle, above a 3% minimum buffer. On a request, all profit above the buffer leaves the account; you receive up to the cap and anything above it is deducted rather than paid. ### Industry, legal and operations - **[A-book](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/a-book)**: A brokerage model where client orders are passed through to external liquidity providers rather than held internally. The broker earns from spread and commission and takes no position against the client, so its revenue follows volume. GFN: The A-book and B-book distinction does not apply to GFN. No customer trades are executed in live financial markets; evaluation and funded accounts are simulated, and GFN is not a broker. - **[Account sharing](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/account-sharing)**: Letting someone else trade your account, or trading an account belonging to someone else. It defeats the purpose of an assessment of an individual, and it is prohibited everywhere in the industry without exception. GFN: Account sharing is prohibited trading on a GFN account, as are third-party account-management and challenge-passing services. Keep dashboard, trading and payout credentials private - GFN will not ask for your password. - **[Affiliate programme](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/affiliate-programme)**: An arrangement paying commission on sales referred through a tracked link. It is how most prop firms acquire customers, and it explains a large share of the reviews published about them. GFN: GFN runs an affiliate programme with three published tiers: 10% commission as standard, 12.5% after $10,000 in tracked qualifying sales, and 15% after $25,000. - **[AML](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/aml)**: The controls a firm operates to prevent its services being used to move criminal proceeds. In practice it means identity checks, monitoring for unusual patterns, and refusing payments that cannot be explained. GFN: GFN's KYC and AML checks help verify that accounts belong to genuine individual traders and help prevent fraud, identity misuse, duplicate-account abuse and other prohibited activity. - **[B-book](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/b-book)**: A brokerage model where client orders are held internally rather than passed to a market, so the broker takes the other side of them. Client losses become broker revenue, which is the structural objection to it. GFN: GFN does not B-book customer orders, because there are no customer orders in a live market to book. All evaluation and funded accounts are simulated, and GFN is not a broker or financial institution. - **[Broker](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/broker)**: A firm that executes trades on a client's behalf and holds client funds to do so. It is a different business from a prop firm, with different obligations and a different relationship to the client. GFN: GFN is not a broker, financial institution or investment provider. It does not accept customer investment deposits and does not provide financial, investment, legal or tax advice. - **[Dispute resolution](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/dispute-resolution)**: The process for settling a disagreement about a breach, a payout or an account decision. It starts with the firm's support channel and is governed by the terms the account was bought under. GFN: GFN's dashboard holds the live metrics an account is judged on, and the account-specific checkout terms take priority over older promotions or screenshots. Support answers within 24 hours on business days. - **[Funded trader agreement](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/funded-trader-agreement)**: The contract governing a simulated funded account: what the trader may do, how performance is measured, how payouts are calculated and on what grounds the arrangement can end. GFN: A GFN funded account is simulated. Eligible traders may receive monetary payouts based on qualifying simulated performance, subject to the programme rules, the applicable virtual profit share of up to 90%, KYC/compliance checks and the Terms & Conditions. - **[KYC](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/kyc)**: The process of confirming who owns an account, using identity documents and supporting information. It is required before money moves, and it is the most common cause of a delayed first payout. GFN: GFN may require identity and compliance verification before a funded account is issued and before a payout is processed. The GFN account, the identity verification and the payout details must all belong to the same individual. - **[Liquidity provider](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/liquidity-provider)**: An institution that streams tradeable prices to brokers and venues - typically a bank or a specialist trading firm. Their aggregated quotes are what a retail price is ultimately built from. GFN: Strategies designed to compromise a broker or liquidity relationship are prohibited trading on a GFN account, alongside latency arbitrage and exploiting delayed or incorrect pricing. - **[Market maker](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/market-maker)**: A participant that quotes both a bid and an ask continuously, profiting from the spread between them and carrying inventory risk in return. Market makers are what make an instrument tradeable in size at a predictable cost. GFN: GFN is not a market maker and not a broker. Prices on a simulated account model real market conditions, including spread changes and execution differences, without customer orders reaching a market. - **[Prohibited trading](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/prohibited-trading)**: Activity a firm bans because it targets the trading environment rather than the market. It covers exploiting errors and pricing delays, coordinated trading between accounts, and third-party account management. GFN: GFN prohibits exploiting platform errors, delayed or incorrect pricing, latency arbitrage, non-public information, front-running, coordinated trading between customers, account sharing, third-party challenge-passing services, manipulative hedging across accounts and deliberately exploiting market-close gaps. - **[Prop firm](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/prop-firm)**: A company that assesses traders and pays them a share of the results they produce, rather than a broker that executes orders for clients. Most modern retail firms run the assessment on simulated accounts. GFN: GFN publishes every objective before purchase: 3% to 5% daily loss limits, 5% to 8% maximum drawdowns, targets by programme and a virtual profit share of up to 90%. - **[Proprietary trading](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/proprietary-trading)**: Trading a firm's own capital rather than client money. The traditional form employed traders in-house; the retail form assesses traders remotely and pays them a share of the results they produce. GFN: GFN runs virtual evaluation programmes on simulated accounts. It is not a broker, financial institution or investment provider, and it does not accept customer investment deposits. - **[Restricted jurisdiction](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/restricted-jurisdiction)**: A country a firm will not serve, for legal, regulatory, sanctions or payment-provider reasons. Restrictions can change, and they apply to where a trader actually is rather than what an address says. GFN: GFN may restrict access from certain jurisdictions for legal, regulatory, payment-provider or compliance reasons, so eligibility can depend on your country of residence. A restriction can also be introduced after you have joined. - **[Sanctions screening](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/sanctions-screening)**: Checking customers and payments against sanctions lists before money moves. It is a legal obligation on the payments provider as much as on the firm, and it is not discretionary. GFN: GFN payouts run through a payments provider and require the receiving account to belong to the verified GFN account holder. Restrictions can apply to certain jurisdictions for compliance reasons. - **[Simulated funding](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/simulated-funding)**: The model where a firm assesses and pays traders on simulated accounts rather than routing their orders to a market. Trading is simulated; payouts against qualifying performance are real money. GFN: All GFN evaluation and funded accounts are simulated or virtual accounts. No customer trades are executed in live financial markets, and eligible traders may receive real monetary payouts based on qualifying simulated performance. - **[Terms of service](https://getfundednow.com/glossary/terms-of-service)**: The contract between a trader and a firm, covering purchases, account rules, payouts and termination. It governs everything the marketing pages summarise, and where a page and the terms disagree, the terms are what applies. GFN: GFN's published rules handbook summarises the current public rules; your checkout configuration, account dashboard and Terms & Conditions take priority where an account has specific options or add-ons. [What Is a Prop Firm? How the Model Actually Works](https://getfundednow.com/guides/what-is-a-prop-firm): A prop firm, short for proprietary trading firm, traditionally trades its own money for its own account. The retail prop firms most traders mean today work differently: you pay a fee to trade a simulated account against fixed risk rules, and if you pass, the firm pays you a share of the simulated profit in real money. - [What Is a Funded Account? A Plain Explanation](https://getfundednow.com/guides/what-is-a-funded-account): In prop trading, a funded account is a simulated trading account a firm lets you trade after you pass its evaluation, or straight away on an instant program. You trade it within the firm's risk rules, and eligible profit is paid to you as a share, in real money. The balance itself is not yours to withdraw. - [How Do Prop Firms Make Money? The Honest Answer](https://getfundednow.com/guides/how-prop-firms-make-money): A prop firm that runs simulated evaluations earns from evaluation fees and paid add-ons, and pays successful traders out of that revenue. GFN executes no customer trades in live markets, so every GFN payout is funded by the business, not by market profits from your trades. That makes fees, rules and payout data worth understanding. - [Free Funded Account Challenge: What's Real](https://getfundednow.com/guides/free-funded-account-challenge): GFN does not sell a free funded account challenge. The cheapest evaluation is the $5,000 2 Step at $22, paid once, and if you fail it by breaching a hard rule, one retake is free. Offers elsewhere called free are usually a contest, a demo trial or a giveaway, each with its own conditions. - [Common Mistakes in Funded Trading Accounts](https://getfundednow.com/guides/common-funded-account-mistakes): Here are 11 mistakes that break the rules of a funded trading account, each tied to the exact rule it breaks and what that rule means in dollars on a $100,000 account. GFN does not publish breach data yet, so they are grouped by the rule they break, not ranked by how often they happen. - [How Hard Is a Prop Firm Challenge?](https://getfundednow.com/guides/prop-firm-challenge-difficulty): A prop firm challenge is hard mainly because of the ratio between the profit target and the losses the rules allow. On a GFN 1 Step, the 10% target must be reached without losing 5% in a day or 8% overall. Trailing drawdowns, consistency rules and minimum trading days add to it. GFN does not publish a pass rate. - [The Prop Firm Consistency Rule, Explained](https://getfundednow.com/guides/consistency-rule): A consistency rule caps how much of your total profit can come from a single trading day. If your best day is too large a share, you have not passed yet, even above the target. At GFN, Instant and 1 Step have no consistency rule; the 2 Step caps any single day at 35% of total profit. - [Prop Firm With No Consistency or Payout Cap](https://getfundednow.com/guides/prop-firm-no-consistency-rule-or-payout-cap): At GFN, the 1 Step is the program with no consistency rule and no withdrawal cap. One day can supply the whole 10% target, and once funded, each 14-day payout is your full share of simulated profit. In exchange it costs more than the 2 Step and has no free retake. - [How Many Trading Days Are in a Year? (2026 & 2027)](https://getfundednow.com/guides/trading-days-in-a-year): The US stock market has 251 trading days in 2026 and 251 in 2027: 261 weekdays each year, minus 10 exchange holidays. Half-day sessions still count. Spot forex has no exchange calendar and trades around the clock on weekdays, so its count is the weekday count. Futures count by trade date, which varies by contract. ## Learn to trade ### Smart money concepts (SMC and ICT) - [Breaker Blocks Explained (ICT and SMC)](https://getfundednow.com/learn/breaker-block): An order block that failed after a sweep of liquidity and a shift in structure, then treated from the other side. - [Order Blocks in Trading, Explained](https://getfundednow.com/learn/order-block): The last down-close candle before a strong rally, or the last up-close candle before a strong drop, marked as a zone of interest. - [Fair Value Gap (FVG) in Trading, Explained](https://getfundednow.com/learn/fair-value-gap): A three-candle imbalance: the range between the first candle's wick and the third's that the move left untraded on both sides. - [Inverse Fair Value Gap (IFVG) Explained](https://getfundednow.com/learn/inverse-fair-value-gap): A fair value gap that price closed through, after which traders read the same range with the opposite expectation. - [Break of Structure (BOS) vs CHoCH](https://getfundednow.com/learn/break-of-structure): BOS is a break of a swing point in the trend's direction; CHoCH is the first break against it. The rules that bite hardest are the funded-account news window around releases such as payrolls, the 2 minutes minimum hold, and the daily loss limit - 3% on Instant, 5% on the others. - [Trading Gold (XAUUSD) on a Funded Account](https://getfundednow.com/instruments/gold): Gold, silver and other metals can be traded on every GFN programme where the instrument is available. Leverage is up to 1:50 and can be lower on metals, commission is $7 per lot round turn, and gold's dollar range makes the daily loss limit - 3% on Instant, 5% elsewhere - the rule to size against first. - [Trading Indices on a Funded Account](https://getfundednow.com/instruments/indices): Index instruments can be traded on every GFN programme where they are available, at leverage up to 1:50 that can be lower on indices. Unlike forex they keep session hours, so the cash open, overnight gaps and US data releases are where the 3% and 5% daily loss limits are most often reached. - [Oil and Commodities on a Funded Account](https://getfundednow.com/instruments/commodities): Commodity instruments, including oil where offered, can be traded on every GFN programme where they are available. Leverage is up to 1:50 and can be lower per instrument. Energy moves several percent on inventory and production news, so the daily loss limit - 3% on Instant, 5% elsewhere - binds quickly. - [Crypto Trading on a Funded Account](https://getfundednow.com/instruments/crypto): Cryptocurrency instruments can be traded on every GFN programme where they are available on the platform. They are contracts on the price, not coins, and GFN notes their trading hours and leverage may differ from other classes. Volatility makes the daily loss limit - 3% on Instant, 5% elsewhere - the binding rule. ## Pages - [Home](https://getfundednow.com/): evaluation pricing, metrics comparison and FAQ - [Challenges](https://getfundednow.com/challenges): full objectives and pricing for all three programmes - [Instant funding](https://getfundednow.com/challenges/instant): no evaluation, no profit target, no time limit - [1 Step challenge](https://getfundednow.com/challenges/1-step): one 10% target, 8% drawdown that trails during the evaluation and locks at the starting balance - [2 Step challenge](https://getfundednow.com/challenges/2-step): cheapest entry, free retake, 35% consistency rule - [Funded account sizes](https://getfundednow.com/funded-accounts): what each account size costs on each programme - [How it works](https://getfundednow.com/how-it-works): the four steps from checkout to payout - [About](https://getfundednow.com/about): who GFN is, the mission and the operating entity - [FAQ](https://getfundednow.com/faq): rules, drawdown mechanics, add-ons and payouts - [Guides](https://getfundednow.com/guides): what a prop firm is, funded accounts, whether a free funded account challenge exists, the consistency rule, the program with no consistency rule or payout cap, trading days in a year, and the mistakes that end funded accounts - [Trading calculators](https://getfundednow.com/tools): position size, pip value, margin, profit, risk-reward, profit split, Sharpe ratio, drawdown, consistency rule and risk of ruin calculators - [Learn to trade](https://getfundednow.com/learn): trading education - smart money concepts, price action, chart and candlestick patterns, indicators such as VWAP and ATR, trading styles, risk and PnL, and trading sessions and market events - [Instruments](https://getfundednow.com/instruments): what can be traded on a GFN account, and the rules that bite hardest for each - [Where GFN accepts traders](https://getfundednow.com/markets): every market, with its status read from the Terms - [Glossary](https://getfundednow.com/glossary): prop-trading and general trading terms, each defined generally and then with GFN's own figure for it - [Trading rules](https://getfundednow.com/rules): the full rules handbook - risk limits, payouts, trading rules, prohibited behaviour and breaches, for all three programmes - [Contact](https://getfundednow.com/contact): live chat, email and postal address - [How we publish](https://getfundednow.com/methodology): where every figure on the site comes from, how it is checked, and what is not published yet - [Corrections](https://getfundednow.com/corrections): the dated public log of corrections - [Client login](https://login.getfundednow.com/): the trader dashboard ## Trading rules The full published handbook, as it appears at https://getfundednow.com/rules. Eligible performance on a simulated Funded Account can qualify for real monetary payouts subject to the applicable rules, profit split, KYC/compliance checks and Terms & Conditions. ### 1. Instant Funding Skip the Evaluation and begin directly on a simulated Funded Account. - Evaluation phases: None - funded from day one - Profit target: None - Daily Loss Limit: 3% - Max Drawdown: 5% trailing - Consistency: None - Profit split: 70% - Standard payout: Every 14 days - Time limit: None - Leverage: Up to 1:50 - Account stage: Funded from start - Withdrawal cap: 2% per cycle - Withdrawal buffer: 3% - Minimum trade duration: 2 minutes #### No Evaluation phase Instant Funding gives you a simulated Funded Account after successful purchase, account issuance and any required checks. You do not need to pass a 1 Step or 2 Step Evaluation first, and there is no Evaluation profit target. #### 3% Daily Loss Limit - hard breach The Instant account has a tighter 3% Daily Loss Limit. Floating losses, realised losses and trading costs can all affect the available daily buffer. If the hard threshold is crossed, even briefly, a later recovery does not reverse the breach. > **Example** On a $100,000 Instant account, 3% represents an initial $3,000 daily risk ceiling. Always use the live dashboard calculation for the exact breach level. #### 5% trailing Maximum Drawdown - hard breach Instant Funding uses a 5% trailing/relative Maximum Drawdown. The drawdown level can move upward as the account reaches new performance highs. Account equity matters, so open positions can cause a breach before a trade is closed. > **Example** On a $100,000 Instant account, the initial 5% drawdown level is $95,000. As the account makes new highs, the permitted floor can trail upward according to the account rules. #### 70% profit split Eligible Instant Funding profits use a 70% trader profit split under the current published programme metrics. The amount available for payout remains subject to account eligibility, payout rules and remaining risk limits. #### 2% withdrawal cap and 3% buffer Instant Funding withdrawals are capped. Each payout cycle is capped at 2% of your starting balance, and a 3% minimum withdrawal buffer stays in the account. When you request a withdrawal, all profit above the 3% buffer leaves the account. You receive up to the 2% cap; anything above the cap is deducted but not paid out. 1 Step and 2 Step accounts have no withdrawal cap. > **Withdrawal example** On a $100,000 Instant account showing $6,000 profit, $3,000 is deducted, the account resets to $103,000 against a $98,000 drawdown floor, and $2,000 is withdrawable. #### Payout timer The first standard payout becomes eligible 14 calendar days after the first trade is placed on the Instant Funded Account. The clock does not start when the account is purchased. Subsequent standard payout opportunities occur every 14 calendar days while the account remains eligible. #### News trading starts under Funded Account rules Because Instant Funding starts at the Funded Account stage, Funded Account news restrictions apply from the beginning. Under the published rule, trades opened or closed within 3 minutes before or 3 minutes after a relevant red-label/high-impact news event may have profits removed, rather than automatically terminating the account. ### 2. 1 Step Challenge One Evaluation phase, then a simulated Funded Account. - Evaluation phases: 1 - Profit target: 10% - Daily Loss Limit: 5% - Max Drawdown: 8% standard / 10% with add-on - Drawdown type: Relative / trailing - Minimum days: None - Time limit: None - Consistency: None - Profit split: 80% / 90% with add-on - Standard payout: Every 14 days - Leverage: Up to 1:50 - Minimum trade duration: 2 minutes #### 10% virtual profit target Reach the 10% Evaluation target without breaking the Daily Loss Limit, the Maximum Drawdown or any other applicable trading rule. Evaluation profits are simulated and cannot be withdrawn. #### No minimum trading days or time limit There are no minimum trading days and no deadline. If all objectives are legitimately completed in one day without a breach, the Evaluation can be completed in one day. #### No consistency rule The 1 Step programme does not require profits to be spread evenly across several days. Risk rules still apply at all times. #### 5% Daily Loss Limit - hard breach The 5% daily limit includes the effect of floating positions, closed losses and trading costs. Use the reset time shown in the trading environment/dashboard rather than assuming local midnight. #### 8% Maximum Drawdown, 10% with the add-on The 1 Step uses an 8% Maximum Drawdown as standard. The optional drawdown add-on at checkout raises it to 10%. The drawdown is relative/trailing during the Evaluation and follows new performance highs according to the account rules. > **Standard 8% example** On a $100,000 account, the initial standard breach level is $92,000. If the high-water mark rises to $104,000, the trailing floor can rise to $96,000. Under the detailed rule, once the drawdown reaches the original starting balance it locks instead of continuing to trail indefinitely. #### 80% profit split - 90% with the add-on Eligible profits on a 1 Step Funded Account are paid at an 80% profit split as standard. The optional profit split add-on at checkout raises it to 90%. #### After passing Once the Evaluation objectives are completed and any required KYC/compliance checks are satisfied, you become eligible for a simulated Funded Account. The 14-day payout timer starts only when the first trade is placed on that Funded Account. #### Funded news rule News trading is permitted during the Evaluation under the published detailed rule. Once funded, the Funded Account news restriction applies: profits from trades opened or closed inside the relevant ±3 minute high-impact news window may be removed. ### 3. 2 Step Challenge Two Evaluation phases with fixed drawdown and a consistency rule. - Evaluation phases: 2 - Phase 1 target: 8% - Phase 2 target: 5% - Daily Loss Limit: 5% - Max Drawdown: 8% fixed / non-trailing - Minimum days: 3 - Time limit: None - Consistency: 35% max from one day - Profit split: 80% / 90% with add-on - Standard payout: Every 14 days - Leverage: Up to 1:50 - Minimum trade duration: 2 minutes - Free retake: One, on tighter limits #### Phase 1 - 8% target Complete the 8% Phase 1 target while staying inside the 5% Daily Loss Limit, the 8% fixed Maximum Drawdown and the 35% consistency rule. Once confirmed as passed, the account progresses to Phase 2. #### Phase 2 - 5% target Phase 2 begins with its own objective. Profits from Phase 1 do not carry into Phase 2. Complete the 5% Phase 2 target while continuing to follow the applicable risk, trading-day and consistency requirements. #### 8% fixed / non-trailing Maximum Drawdown Unlike the trailing drawdown used by Instant and the relative drawdown used in the 1 Step Evaluation, the 2 Step uses an 8% non-trailing drawdown. The breach floor does not keep moving upward simply because the account makes more profit. > **Example** On a $100,000 2 Step account, an 8% fixed Maximum Drawdown means the overall breach floor starts at $92,000 and does not trail upward with new account highs. #### 3 minimum trading days The current 2 Step programme requires a minimum of 3 trading days. Each Evaluation phase must satisfy the applicable trading-day requirement shown in the dashboard before progression. #### 35% consistency rule No single trading day may account for more than 35% of total profit while the consistency metric is active. If your best day is too large, you normally need to generate additional profit on other days until the best-day percentage falls to 35% or below. > **Consistency example** If your best day produced $4,000, total profit must reach at least about $11,429 for that day to represent 35% or less of total profit. The dashboard calculation is the official metric. #### Profit split - 80%, or 90% with the add-on Eligible profits on a 2 Step Funded Account are paid at an 80% profit split as standard. The optional profit split add-on at checkout raises it to 90%. #### After Phase 2 After both phases are completed and any required KYC/compliance checks are satisfied, you become eligible for a simulated Funded Account. The payout timer starts from the first Funded Account trade, not from Evaluation trading. #### One free retake If you fail the 2 Step by breaching a hard trading rule, you get one free retake of that account - you don't need to buy a new one to try again. The retake runs on tighter limits than a first attempt: - 3% Daily Loss Limit (down from 5%). - 4% non-trailing Maximum Drawdown (down from 8%). - 60% profit split on the Funded Account it leads to (down from 80%). Every other 2 Step rule still applies to the retake. ### 4. Rules that apply across account types Risk, payout and account-management rules every trader should understand. #### Daily Loss Limit & Maximum Drawdown - Open/floating losses count when account equity is monitored. - Closed/realised losses count within the relevant daily calculation period. - Commissions, spreads, slippage and other trading costs can reduce your available buffer. - The Daily Loss Limit reset time is shown in the trading environment/dashboard. Do not assume it is midnight in your timezone. - Daily loss and Maximum Drawdown are separate rules. A new trading day does not erase the effect of previous losses on overall drawdown. - If a hard breach threshold is crossed for only a few seconds, the account can still be breached. A later market recovery does not undo it. - Leave a safety buffer rather than trading directly against a hard limit. #### Stop losses Stop-loss requirements depend on the programme/account options attached to your account. Where a stop loss is compulsory, it must be used in accordance with the account rules. A mental stop does not count where an actual platform stop is required. A missing compulsory stop may trigger position closure or other corrective action. #### Payout cycle - First standard payout eligibility is 14 calendar days after the first trade on a Funded Account. - Evaluation trades do not start or count toward the payout timer. - Subsequent standard payout opportunities occur every 14 calendar days while the account remains eligible. - You do not need to trade every day during the 14-day period. - A 7-day payout period may be available where selected as an optional add-on. - 1 Step and 2 Step Funded Accounts pay an 80% profit split as standard, or 90% with the profit split add-on. Instant Funding pays 70%. - Instant Funding withdrawals are capped at 2% of the starting balance per payout cycle, above a 3% minimum withdrawal buffer. 1 Step and 2 Step accounts have no withdrawal cap. - You are not forced to withdraw when a payout date arrives; eligible profits can remain in the account. - A payout reduces the profit remaining in the account and can reduce the cushion above the applicable drawdown level. - The account must remain eligible and compliant while a payout is being processed. A hard breach or serious Terms violation can cause a pending or future payout to be rejected. #### KYC and payout ownership - KYC/compliance verification may be required before a Funded Account is issued and/or before a payout is processed. - The GFN account, identity verification and payout details must belong to the same individual. - A legitimately breached Funded Account is not eligible for payout from that account. ### 5. Trading rules for all programmes What you can trade, how you can trade it, and the restrictions that matter. #### Markets and trading styles - Forex, indices, commodities, metals and cryptocurrency instruments may be traded where available on the GFN platform. - Day trading is allowed. - Swing trading is allowed, subject to account rules and instrument trading hours. - Normal legitimate scalping is allowed, provided every trade stays open for at least 2 minutes. - There is no single universal maximum lot size. Position size is constrained by leverage, margin, buying power and risk limits. - Leverage is up to 1:50 on every programme, and can vary by instrument. #### 2-minute minimum trade duration Every trade on every programme - Instant Funding, 1 Step and 2 Step, in both the Evaluation and Funded stages - must stay open for at least 2 minutes. #### Trading hours, overnight and weekend holding - Trading hours depend on the instrument and available market liquidity. - Public holidays can cause late opens, early closes or market closures. - Overnight holding is permitted where allowed by the specific account and underlying market. - Weekend holding is permitted where allowed by the specific account type. - Weekend gaps, spread changes, slippage and market closures remain the trader's risk and can still trigger a drawdown breach. #### News trading News trading rules can vary by account stage. The detailed published rule allows news trading during Evaluation stages. On simulated Funded Accounts, profits from trades opened or closed within 3 minutes before or 3 minutes after a relevant red-label/high-impact release may be removed. Instant Funding is already at the Funded Account stage, so the funded news rule applies from the start. #### Hedging Normal hedging within an individual account may be permitted where it represents genuine trading activity. Manipulative or coordinated hedging across accounts is prohibited, including deliberately taking opposite sides simply to guarantee one account succeeds at another account's expense. #### Expert Advisors and automated trading - Automated trading may be allowed if it represents legitimate trading behaviour and follows all GFN rules. - An EA you created yourself may be used if it remains compliant. - Third-party systems designed or marketed specifically to exploit or automatically pass prop-firm challenges may be prohibited. - Mass-identical activity can be reviewed where it suggests copy trading, coordinated trading or unclear strategy ownership. #### Copy trading - Copying between accounts that you personally own may be permitted within applicable GFN rules. - Copying another trader's trades, allowing another trader to manage your account, or coordinated group trading is prohibited. - Third-party challenge-passing and account-management services are prohibited. ### 6. Prohibited trading and account security Activity that can block progression, terminate accounts or invalidate payouts. #### Prohibited behaviour - Exploiting platform or technical errors. - Knowingly exploiting stale, delayed or incorrect prices. - Latency arbitrage or price-feed delay exploitation. - Use of non-public or insider information. - Front-running. - Coordinated trading between customers. - Account sharing, or multiple people trading one account. - Third-party challenge-passing or account-management services. - Manipulative hedging or opposite-position schemes across accounts. - Deliberately exploiting market-close gaps. - Strategies designed to compromise or exploit broker/liquidity relationships. - Other unrealistic or abusive simulated trading behaviour. > **Possible consequences** GFN may review trading, restrict access, reject Evaluation progression, reject payouts, terminate affected accounts or take other action allowed under the Terms & Conditions where prohibited behaviour is identified. #### Account ownership - The account must be traded by the registered account holder. - GFN accounts may not be sold, transferred or rented to another person. - Do not create duplicate identities or profiles to bypass account/allocation limits. - Keep dashboard, trading and payout credentials private and secure. - Fraud, account sharing and serious Terms violations can affect more than one account on your GFN profile. #### VPN, VPS, IP and travel - Normal use of home broadband, mobile data, office connections and travel networks is understandable. - Significant or unusual location changes can trigger security checks. - Avoid unnecessary VPN use where possible, especially during identity verification. - A VPS may be used for legitimate trading technology where permitted. - VPNs and VPSs must not be used to hide account sharing, circumvent location restrictions or disguise prohibited trading. #### Inactivity and maximum allocation - Accounts must remain active. The detailed GFN rules currently state that at least one qualifying trade should be placed within 30 days; always check the latest rule shown in your dashboard for your account. - The maximum total allocation is $400,000 of simulated capital across all GFN accounts combined. Programme types may be mixed within that overall limit. ### 7. Breaches and the pre-session checklist The simple version to check before you place a trade. #### Hard breaches A hard breach fails or terminates the affected account. The main hard breaches are exceeding the Daily Loss Limit, or reaching/exceeding the applicable Maximum Drawdown level. > **Hard limits are absolute** If a hard limit is crossed, closing the position or recovering afterwards does not erase the breach. Spread widening, slippage, gaps or rapid market movement do not automatically excuse a genuine breach. #### Soft breaches A soft breach is a rule violation that may result in a trade being closed or other corrective action, without automatically terminating the full account. The exact treatment depends on the applicable account rule; a missing mandatory stop loss is a published example. #### If there is a technical problem Internet connectivity is normally the trader's responsibility. If you believe a genuine GFN/platform incident caused an issue, stop taking unnecessary risk, record the account number, trade IDs, time and screenshots, and contact Support. The dashboard remains the official source for account metrics unless GFN confirms an adjustment. #### Before every trading session 1. Check the programme type and its Daily Loss Limit. 2. Check the live Maximum Drawdown level in the dashboard. 3. Know the daily reset time and instrument trading hours. 4. Check whether a stop loss is compulsory on your account. 5. If funded, check relevant high-impact news before opening or closing trades. 6. Leave room for spreads, commissions, slippage and gaps. 7. Do not share the account or use third-party account management. 8. Before requesting a payout, check the remaining drawdown buffer after withdrawal. 9. Hold every trade for at least 2 minutes. 10. On Instant Funding, check the 2% withdrawal cap and 3% buffer before requesting a payout. > **Which rule wins?** Your account-specific checkout terms and dashboard metrics take priority over old promotions, social posts or outdated screenshots. If a question could affect a breach or a payout, check the current GFN dashboard or this handbook, or contact Support, before taking unnecessary risk. ### Company and simulation notice Get Funded Now is a trading name of Bradbury Capital Ltd (Company No. 17102934), 6 Harrier Way, Exeter, EX2 7HU, United Kingdom. This can include: - Forex traders - Index traders - Commodity traders - Metals traders - Cryptocurrency traders - Day traders - Swing traders - Experienced traders - Developing traders looking to improve their risk management Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/who-is-gfn-for #### Do I need to be an experienced trader? There is no requirement to be a professional trader. However, GFN programs involve leveraged simulated trading and strict risk-management limits. We strongly recommend understanding position sizing, leverage, stop losses, drawdown and general trading risk before purchasing an account. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/do-i-need-to-be-experienced #### Is Get Funded Now suitable for complete beginners? You can purchase a GFN program as a beginner, but the programs are designed to assess trading performance rather than teach trading from scratch. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/does-gfn-give-investment-advice #### Is success guaranteed? No. Trading involves risk and purchasing a GFN account does not guarantee that you will successfully complete an Evaluation, retain a Funded Account or receive a payout. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/is-success-guaranteed ### Plans & programs #### What account types does GFN offer? GFN offers three main routes: - Instant Funding - start directly with a simulated Funded Account without completing a traditional Evaluation. - 1 Step - complete one Evaluation phase before becoming eligible for a simulated Funded Account. - 2 Step - complete two Evaluation phases before becoming eligible for a simulated Funded Account. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-account-types-does-gfn-offer #### What is the difference between Instant Funding, 1 Step and 2 Step? The main difference is how you qualify for your Funded Account. Instant Funding removes the traditional Evaluation process, 1 Step requires one Evaluation phase, and 2 Step requires two Evaluation phases. Each program has its own pricing, profit targets, drawdown structure and trading conditions. Always check the specific program rules before purchasing. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/difference-between-instant-1-step-2-step #### Which GFN plan is best for me? That depends on your trading style. Instant Funding may suit traders who want immediate access to a Funded Account. 1 Step may suit traders who want a faster Evaluation process. 2 Step may suit traders who prefer a multi-stage Evaluation structure. There is no universally “best” option. Choose the account whose rules most closely match the way you naturally trade. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/which-plan-is-best-for-me #### Are the trading rules the same across all three plans? No. Certain general GFN trading rules apply across the platform, but important metrics such as profit targets, drawdown limits and other conditions may differ between Instant Funding, 1 Step and 2 Step accounts. Your specific account rules are displayed before purchase and within your trader dashboard. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/are-rules-the-same-across-plans #### Is there a consistency rule? It depends on the program: - Instant Funding - no consistency rule. - 1 Step - no consistency rule. - 2 Step - no single trading day may account for more than 35% of total profit. All other objectives for your program still apply, including the Daily Loss Limit and Maximum Drawdown. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/is-there-a-consistency-rule #### Can I purchase more than one type of account? Yes. Programme types can be mixed freely, subject to the $400,000 maximum total allocation across all your accounts. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-buy-more-than-one-account-type #### Can I have an Instant Funding account and an Evaluation account at the same time? Yes, provided the combined size of your accounts stays within the $400,000 maximum total allocation. Each account remains subject to its own individual rules. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/instant-and-evaluation-at-the-same-time #### Can I change my plan after purchasing? An account cannot normally be converted from one program type into another after trading has begun. If you would prefer a different program, you will generally need to purchase that program separately. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-change-plan-after-purchase #### Can I upgrade my account size after purchasing? Account purchases apply to the account size selected at checkout. To trade a different size, purchase an account at that size separately. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-upgrade-account-size #### Where can I see the exact rules before paying? The key objectives and trading limits for each account are displayed on the relevant GFN plan page before checkout. You should always review these before purchasing. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/where-do-i-see-the-rules-before-paying #### What is GFN Instant Funding? Instant Funding allows eligible traders to begin directly on a simulated Funded Account without completing the traditional 1 Step or 2 Step Evaluation process. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-is-instant-funding #### Do I need to hit a profit target before receiving an Instant Funded Account? There is no traditional Evaluation profit target required before the account is issued. Your Instant Funded Account will instead operate according to the trading and risk-management rules associated with the Instant Funding program. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/instant-funding-profit-target #### Does Instant Funding mean there are no trading rules? No. “Instant” refers to accessing the Funded Account without completing an Evaluation first. All applicable drawdown, loss, trading behaviour, payout and risk-management rules still apply. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/does-instant-funding-mean-no-rules #### When does my Instant Funding account become active? Once your order has been successfully completed and your trading credentials have been issued, you can access the account and begin trading. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/when-does-instant-funding-become-active #### When can I request my first Instant Funding payout? Your first payout becomes eligible 14 days after the first trade is placed on your Funded Account, provided your account remains eligible for a payout. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/instant-funding-first-payout #### Is there a withdrawal cap on Instant Funding? Yes. Instant Funding withdrawals are capped at 2% of your starting balance per payout cycle, above a 3% minimum withdrawal buffer. When you request a withdrawal, all profit above the 3% buffer leaves the account. You receive up to the 2% cap; anything above it is deducted but not paid out. For example, on a $100,000 account showing $6,000 profit, $3,000 is deducted, the account resets to $103,000 against a $98,000 drawdown floor, and $2,000 is withdrawable. 1 Step and 2 Step accounts have no withdrawal cap. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/instant-funding-withdrawal-cap #### Does the 14-day countdown start when I buy the account? No. The payout countdown begins when you place your first trade on the Funded Account, not when you purchase the account. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/does-the-14-day-countdown-start-at-purchase #### What if I buy an Instant Funding account but don't trade for several days? Your first payout eligibility date will not begin until your first trade is placed. Remember that normal account inactivity rules may still apply. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/instant-funding-not-trading-immediately #### What is the GFN 1 Step Evaluation? The 1 Step program requires you to successfully complete one Evaluation phase. Once all objectives have been achieved without breaching any applicable rules, you can progress toward receiving your simulated GFN Funded Account. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-is-the-1-step-evaluation #### How many phases does the 1 Step have? One. That is precisely why we resisted the temptation to call it the “1 Step But Secretly There Are Three More Steps” program. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/how-many-phases-does-1-step-have #### What is the maximum drawdown on the 1 Step? The 1 Step uses an 8% Maximum Drawdown as standard. The optional drawdown add-on at checkout raises it to 10%. The drawdown trails your highest balance during the Evaluation until the floor reaches your starting balance, then locks there. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/1-step-maximum-drawdown #### What happens when I pass the 1 Step? Once your account has satisfied the required objectives and successfully completed any necessary compliance checks, you become eligible for your corresponding simulated Funded Account. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-happens-when-i-pass-1-step #### Is there a second verification trading phase? No. The trading Evaluation contains one phase. Identity and compliance verification may still be required before a Funded Account or payout can be issued. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/is-there-a-second-verification-phase #### When does my payout timer start after passing the 1 Step? The payout timer does not start during the Evaluation. It begins when the first trade is placed on your new Funded Account. Your first payout can then be requested 14 days later. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/payout-timer-after-passing-1-step #### What is the GFN 2 Step Evaluation? The 2 Step program contains two Evaluation phases. You must successfully complete both phases while remaining within all applicable trading rules before becoming eligible for a simulated Funded Account. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-is-the-2-step-evaluation #### Do I receive the same account size in Phase 2? Yes. Your Evaluation progresses using the account size associated with the program you purchased. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/same-account-size-in-phase-2 #### What happens after completing Phase 1? Once Phase 1 has successfully satisfied all objectives and been confirmed as passed, you progress to Phase 2. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-happens-after-phase-1 #### Do profits from Phase 1 carry into Phase 2? No. Each Evaluation phase has its own objectives and starts according to the conditions defined for that phase. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/do-phase-1-profits-carry-over #### What happens when I pass Phase 2? Once all requirements have been completed and any required KYC/compliance checks are satisfied, you become eligible to receive your simulated Funded Account. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-happens-when-i-pass-phase-2 #### Does my 14-day payout countdown start after passing Phase 2? No. The countdown begins from the first trade placed on your Funded Account. Evaluation trading does not count toward your payout period. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/payout-countdown-after-phase-2 #### Do I get a free retake if I fail the 2 Step? Yes. If you fail the 2 Step by breaching a hard trading rule, you get one free retake of that account. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/2-step-free-retake ### Evaluations #### Is there a time limit to pass an Evaluation? Where your selected GFN program states that there is no time limit, you can take as long as required provided your account remains active and you continue to follow all applicable rules. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/is-there-a-time-limit #### Are there minimum trading days? If your selected program states that no minimum trading days apply, you do not need to artificially spread trading across multiple days. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/are-there-minimum-trading-days #### Can I pass an Evaluation in one day? If your account has no minimum trading-day requirement and you legitimately achieve all objectives without violating any rules, yes. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-pass-in-one-day #### Do I need to close my trades before an Evaluation can be marked as passed? Your account must satisfy the conditions required for completion. Open positions can affect equity and account metrics, so an Evaluation should not be considered completed purely because the displayed balance temporarily crosses a profit target. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/do-i-need-to-close-trades-to-pass #### Is the profit target based on balance or equity? Always use the metrics displayed within your GFN dashboard for the relevant objective. Open positions can affect account equity and risk limits even when they have not yet been closed. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/profit-target-balance-or-equity #### What happens when I reach the profit target? Trading should stop once your Evaluation has satisfied the required objectives and your dashboard confirms completion. GFN will then process the account according to the next stage of your program. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-happens-when-i-reach-the-target #### Should I continue trading after reaching my target? There is generally no benefit in taking unnecessary additional risk once all required Evaluation objectives have been completed. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/should-i-keep-trading-after-my-target #### Can I withdraw Evaluation profits? No. Evaluation profits are simulated results used to determine whether you have successfully completed the Evaluation. Payout eligibility applies to eligible profits generated after reaching the Funded Account stage. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-withdraw-evaluation-profits #### What happens if I fail an Evaluation? If you breach a hard trading rule, that Evaluation account will no longer be eligible to continue. On the 2 Step, you get one free retake. It runs on tighter limits: a 3% Daily Loss Limit, a 4% non-trailing Maximum Drawdown and a 60% profit split once funded. On the 1 Step, or once a 2 Step retake is used, you can purchase another account and try again. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-happens-if-i-fail #### Does failing an Evaluation affect my other accounts? Normally, a breach relates to the individual account on which it occurred. However, violations involving prohibited behaviour, fraud, account sharing or Terms & Conditions violations may affect other accounts or your wider GFN relationship. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/does-failing-affect-my-other-accounts ### Funded accounts #### What is a GFN Funded Account? A GFN Funded Account is a simulated account issued to an eligible trader either after completing the required Evaluation or through an eligible Instant Funding program. Profitable trading on the account may qualify for monetary payouts under GFN's payout rules. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-is-a-funded-account #### Is the Funded Account simulated? Yes. GFN Funded Accounts operate within a simulated trading environment. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/is-the-funded-account-simulated #### Can I lose my own money on a Funded Account? Your Funded Account balance is simulated and you are not personally responsible for simulated trading losses. Your financial outlay is the amount you paid to purchase the relevant GFN program. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-lose-my-own-money #### Can my Funded Account be breached? Yes. Funded Accounts remain subject to applicable risk limits and trading rules. Passing an Evaluation does not remove those rules. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-my-funded-account-be-breached #### Are Funded Account rules different from Evaluation rules? Some conditions may differ depending on the program. Always refer to your specific Funded Account dashboard and the current Funded Account rules. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/funded-rules-vs-evaluation-rules #### Do profit targets continue after I become funded? A Funded Account is intended to generate eligible trading profits rather than complete an Evaluation profit target. Risk-management rules continue to apply. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/do-profit-targets-continue-when-funded #### Can I keep a Funded Account indefinitely? Provided the account remains active, all rules continue to be followed and no other termination condition applies, there is no reason for a profitable, compliant trader to deliberately lose their account. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-keep-a-funded-account-indefinitely ### Payouts #### When can I request my first payout? You can request your first payout 14 days after the first trade is placed on your Funded Account. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/when-can-i-request-my-first-payout #### Is it 14 days after I receive the Funded Account? No. The clock begins from the first trade placed on the Funded Account. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/is-it-14-days-from-receiving-the-account #### Do Evaluation trades count toward the 14 days? No. Only trading on your Funded Account starts the payout cycle. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/do-evaluation-trades-count-toward-14-days #### Are payouts available every 14 days after that? Yes. Following your first payout eligibility date, you become eligible to request another payout every 14 days thereafter, provided the account remains eligible. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/are-payouts-every-14-days #### Are the 14 days calendar days or trading days? The payout cycle is based on calendar days rather than requiring 14 separate trading days. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/calendar-days-or-trading-days #### Do I need to trade every day during the 14-day period? No. The payout period is a time-based eligibility period. You do not need to manufacture trades simply to satisfy the calendar. Normal inactivity rules still apply. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/do-i-need-to-trade-every-day #### Example: if my first Funded Account trade is on 1 January, when can I request a payout? Your first payout eligibility date would be 15 January. Your subsequent eligibility dates would then fall every 14 days thereafter. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/payout-example-first-trade-1-january #### What if I don't request a payout on my first eligible date? You are not forced to withdraw. You may leave eligible profits in the account and request a payout at a later eligible opportunity. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-if-i-dont-request-on-my-first-date #### Does requesting a payout close my Funded Account? No. A successful payout does not automatically terminate your Funded Account. You can continue trading subject to your remaining account balance, drawdown limits and all applicable trading rules. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/does-a-payout-close-my-account #### Can I request all of my profits? Your available payout is determined by: - Your eligible account profits - Your applicable profit split - Any payout-specific rules - Your remaining account risk limits - Your compliance with GFN's Terms & Conditions On Instant Funding, each withdrawal is also capped at 2% of your starting balance, above a 3% minimum withdrawal buffer. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-request-all-of-my-profits #### What is a profit split? The profit split determines what percentage of eligible simulated profits is paid to you. For example, where a trader has an 80% profit split and has $1,000 of eligible profit, their share before any applicable adjustments would be $800. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-is-a-profit-split #### Can my profit split vary? Yes. The profit split can depend on the program or options selected when the account was purchased. 1 Step and 2 Step Funded Accounts pay 80% as standard, or 90% with the profit split add-on at checkout. Instant Funding pays 70%, and a 2 Step retake pays 60%. Your dashboard should display the profit split applicable to your account. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-my-profit-split-vary #### What happens to the account balance after a payout? A payout reduces the eligible profit available within the account. Traders should always pay attention to their resulting balance and applicable drawdown level before continuing to trade. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/account-balance-after-a-payout #### Can taking a payout affect my drawdown buffer? Yes. Depending on the drawdown structure of your account, withdrawing profits can reduce the cushion between your current account level and the applicable breach level. Always check your dashboard before deciding how much to withdraw. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/does-a-payout-affect-my-drawdown-buffer #### Can I continue trading while a payout is being processed? Follow the instructions displayed when submitting your payout request. Where trading needs to be temporarily paused for account reconciliation, this will be stated during the payout process. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-trade-while-a-payout-processes #### What happens if I breach the account before my payout is approved? A Funded Account must remain eligible and compliant with GFN rules. Breaching an account or violating the Terms & Conditions may cause pending or future payouts to be rejected. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/breach-before-payout-approved #### Can I receive a payout from a breached account? No. Once an account has been legitimately breached, profits associated with that account are no longer eligible for payout. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/payout-from-a-breached-account #### Do I need to complete KYC before receiving a payout? Yes. GFN may require identity and compliance verification before issuing a Funded Account and/or processing a payout. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/do-i-need-kyc-before-a-payout #### Why is KYC required? KYC and AML checks help GFN verify that accounts belong to genuine individual traders and help prevent fraud, identity misuse, duplicate-account abuse and other prohibited activity. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/why-is-kyc-required #### Does the name on my payout account need to match my GFN account? Yes. Your GFN account, identity verification and payout details should belong to the same individual. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/does-the-payout-name-need-to-match #### What are the payout methods - how do I get paid? Payouts are processed through Rise (Riseworks), a payments platform built for paying contractors internationally. Through Rise you can choose how to receive the money, including: - ACH bank transfer - International bank wire - Crypto When you request a payout you are sent a short contract to sign. Once it is signed, GFN processes the payment - see how long a payout takes for what affects the timing. The Rise account receiving the payout must belong to the same individual who purchased, verified and traded the GFN account. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-are-the-payout-methods #### Can I receive my payout in crypto? Yes. GFN pays traders through Rise (Riseworks), and crypto is one of the ways you can choose to receive a payout there, alongside ACH and bank wire. The same identity rules apply whichever method you pick: the payout must go to the person who holds and verified the GFN account. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-get-paid-in-crypto #### How long does a payout take to process? Processing times can depend on verification, the payment method and the payout provider. Your dashboard will show the status of your request. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/how-long-does-a-payout-take #### What happens if my payout is delayed? First check whether: - Your KYC is complete - Additional verification has been requested - Your payout details are correct - Your account remains eligible - There is a banking or payment-provider delay If everything appears correct, contact GFN Support with your account number and payout request details. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-if-my-payout-is-delayed #### Are payouts taxable? Tax treatment depends on your personal circumstances and jurisdiction. GFN cannot provide individual tax advice. You are responsible for determining and paying any taxes that may apply to your payouts. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/are-payouts-taxable #### Payout example: my first trade is on 3 March First Funded Account trade: 3 March. - First payout eligibility: 17 March - Next eligibility: 31 March - Next eligibility: 14 April The cycle continues every 14 days. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/payout-example-first-trade-3-march #### Payout example: I receive the account on 1 March but don't trade until 8 March Account issued: 1 March. First Funded Account trade: 8 March. First payout eligibility: 22 March. The eight days between account issuance and your first trade do not form part of the payout countdown. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/payout-example-account-issued-before-first-trade #### Payout example: I become eligible but don't withdraw First eligibility date: 17 March. You choose not to request a payout. You can continue trading and retain eligible profit with the account. You are not required to withdraw simply because a payout window has arrived. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/payout-example-eligible-but-not-withdrawing #### Payout example: I withdraw and continue trading First Funded Account trade: 3 March. First eligible payout: 17 March. After successfully requesting that payout, your account can continue subject to its remaining balance, drawdown and trading rules. Your next standard payout opportunity occurs according to the subsequent 14-day cycle. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/payout-example-withdraw-and-continue ### Drawdown & risk #### What is the Daily Loss Limit? The Daily Loss Limit is the maximum amount your account is permitted to lose within the defined trading day. Think of it as the account's daily risk ceiling. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-is-the-daily-loss-limit #### Does the Daily Loss Limit include open trades? Yes. Floating losses can affect your account equity and therefore your compliance with applicable risk limits. Do not assume a loss is irrelevant simply because a position has not yet been closed. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/does-the-daily-loss-limit-include-open-trades #### Do closed losses count? Yes. Realised trading losses during the relevant calculation period form part of the account's daily performance. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/do-closed-losses-count #### Can commissions and trading costs affect my Daily Loss Limit? Yes. Trading costs affect account performance and should be allowed for when managing your risk. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/do-commissions-affect-the-daily-loss-limit #### When does the Daily Loss Limit reset? The reset time applicable to your account is displayed within the trading environment/dashboard. Do not assume that the limit resets at midnight in your local timezone. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/when-does-the-daily-loss-limit-reset #### Does a new day mean yesterday's losses disappear from my overall drawdown? No. A Daily Loss Limit and Maximum Drawdown are separate rules. The daily calculation can reset while your overall account balance and Maximum Drawdown position remain affected. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/does-a-new-day-clear-my-overall-drawdown #### What happens if I exceed the Daily Loss Limit for only a few seconds? If the account crosses a hard breach threshold, the account can be considered breached even if the market subsequently reverses. Risk limits should be treated as hard boundaries, not rough suggestions. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/exceeding-the-daily-loss-limit-briefly #### Should I trade right up to the Daily Loss Limit? We strongly advise against it. Leaving a safety buffer helps protect against spreads, slippage, commissions and rapid market movement. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/should-i-trade-up-to-the-daily-loss-limit #### What is Maximum Drawdown? Maximum Drawdown is the total amount your account is permitted to decline before the account is breached. You can think of it as the overall account stop-loss. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-is-maximum-drawdown #### Is Maximum Drawdown the same on every GFN plan? No. Different plans can use different Maximum Drawdown limits and calculation methods. Check the exact rules for your Instant Funding, 1 Step or 2 Step account. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/is-max-drawdown-the-same-on-every-plan #### What is fixed drawdown? A fixed drawdown level is calculated relative to a defined account level and does not continue trailing upward simply because the account makes additional profit. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-is-fixed-drawdown #### What is relative or trailing drawdown? A relative or trailing drawdown can move as the account reaches new performance highs according to the rules of the specific program. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-is-trailing-drawdown #### Can open positions cause a Maximum Drawdown breach? Yes. Account equity matters when monitoring trading risk. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-open-positions-breach-max-drawdown #### What happens if the account touches the Maximum Drawdown level? If your account reaches or exceeds the defined hard breach limit according to the program's calculation method, the account can be breached. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-happens-if-i-touch-max-drawdown #### Can profitable trades offset a previous breach? No. Once a hard breach has occurred, a later market recovery does not undo it. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-profits-offset-a-previous-breach #### Do I need to use a stop loss? Your requirement to use a stop loss depends on the rules attached to your specific program/account. Where a stop loss is mandatory, one must be used in accordance with the applicable rules. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/do-i-need-to-use-a-stop-loss #### What happens if a compulsory stop loss is missing? Where the account requires stop losses, placing a trade without one may result in action being taken against the position or account according to the current trading rules. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/missing-compulsory-stop-loss #### Can I move my stop loss? Yes, provided doing so does not violate your account rules or cause the account to exceed any risk limit. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-move-my-stop-loss #### Can I use mental stop losses instead? Not where an actual platform stop loss is required by your account rules. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-trade-futures #### Is there a maximum lot size? Using multiple accounts, coordinated accounts or opposing positions purely to manipulate the evaluation process is prohibited. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-hedge #### Can I place opposite trades across multiple GFN accounts? Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-many-customers-use-the-same-ea #### Is copy trading allowed? Copying trades between accounts that you personally own may be permitted within applicable GFN rules. Copying trades belonging to another trader, allowing another trader to copy/manage your account or participating in coordinated group trading is prohibited. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-is-latency-arbitrage #### Can I exploit a price that is obviously wrong? No. Knowingly taking advantage of stale, delayed or erroneous pricing is prohibited. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-exploit-a-wrong-price #### What happens if GFN identifies prohibited trading? Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-happens-if-gfn-finds-prohibited-trading #### Will one unusual trade automatically get me banned? GFN can review trading in context. The purpose of prohibited-trading rules is to identify genuine abuse rather than punish legitimate traders simply for having an unusual trade. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/will-one-unusual-trade-ban-me #### What are the GFN trading hours? Trading hours depend on the instrument and the liquidity available for that market. Check the instrument information inside your trading platform for the current schedule. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-are-the-trading-hours #### Are all markets open 24/7? No. Different markets operate different hours. Even cryptocurrency-based CFD products may have platform-specific trading schedules. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/do-trading-hours-change-on-holidays #### Is GFN responsible if a market closes while I have an open trade? Traders are responsible for knowing the trading hours of the instruments they use and managing positions accordingly. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/market-closed-with-an-open-trade #### What is leverage? Leverage determines how much market exposure can be controlled relative to the simulated balance or margin available in your account. GFN offers leverage up to 1:50 on Instant Funding, 1 Step and 2 Step. It can vary by instrument. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-is-leverage #### Is leverage the same for every instrument? No. Forex, metals, indices, commodities and cryptocurrencies can have different leverage requirements. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/is-leverage-the-same-for-every-instrument #### Does higher leverage mean I can ignore the drawdown rules? Definitely not. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/does-higher-leverage-change-drawdown-rules #### What happens if I don't have enough margin? The trading platform may prevent the order from being opened or positions may become subject to platform margin rules. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/where-can-i-view-my-account-statistics #### Which figures should I trust if my own spreadsheet disagrees with the dashboard? The GFN platform/dashboard calculations are the official metrics used for your account. Personal spreadsheets and calculators are useful for planning but do not override the platform's official account data. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/dashboard-versus-my-own-spreadsheet #### What should I do if I think the dashboard is wrong? Stop taking unnecessary risk and contact GFN Support. Provide: - Your account number - The metric you believe is incorrect - Relevant trade IDs - Screenshots where possible - A clear explanation of the issue Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-if-the-dashboard-is-wrong #### What should I do if the platform disconnects? Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-if-the-platform-disconnects #### Should I keep placing orders if the platform appears faulty? No. If you genuinely believe prices, balances or order execution are behaving incorrectly, stop taking unnecessary risk until the issue is understood. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-gfn-guarantee-zero-slippage ### Account & verification #### Do I need to keep my account active? Yes. Accounts should not be left indefinitely without trading activity. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/do-i-need-to-keep-my-account-active #### What is considered inactivity? GFN's current account rules require trading activity within the defined inactivity period. Always check the latest inactivity rule in your dashboard, or in the GFN rules handbook. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-counts-as-inactivity #### Why is there an inactivity policy? Simulated trading infrastructure and platform providers may remove dormant accounts. The inactivity rule helps keep accounts active and available. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/why-is-there-an-inactivity-policy #### Does requesting a payout count as trading activity? Do not rely on administrative activity to satisfy a trading inactivity requirement. Where a trade is required, an actual qualifying trade must be placed. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/does-a-payout-request-count-as-activity #### Can I trade while travelling? Yes, but significant or unusual changes in login location may be subject to security checks. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-trade-while-travelling #### Can I use different internet connections? Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-use-different-internet-connections #### Can I use a VPN? VPN usage can make it harder to verify the genuine location and ownership of an account. Traders should avoid unnecessary VPN usage where possible, particularly during identity verification. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-use-a-vpn #### Can I use a VPS? A VPS may be used for legitimate trading technology where permitted, but it must not be used to hide account sharing, circumvent location restrictions or disguise prohibited trading activity. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/what-if-i-cannot-pass-kyc #### Does the name on my payment card have to match? Payment and identity information may be reviewed as part of fraud prevention. Using payment methods belonging to another person can result in additional verification. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/does-the-payment-card-name-need-to-match #### How old do I need to be? You must be at least 18 years old to use GFN services. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/how-old-do-i-need-to-be #### Can traders from any country join? GFN may restrict access from certain jurisdictions due to legal, regulatory, payment-provider or compliance requirements. Your eligibility may therefore depend on your country of residence. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-traders-from-any-country-join #### What happens if my country becomes restricted after I've joined? GFN will handle affected accounts according to applicable legal, compliance and contractual requirements. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/if-my-country-becomes-restricted #### Can I use a false address to get around a country restriction? No. Attempting to circumvent jurisdictional restrictions can result in account termination. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-use-a-false-address #### Can I have more than one GFN account? Yes. The maximum total allocation is $400,000 of simulated capital across all your GFN accounts combined. That can be split however you like within the sizes on sale - two $200,000 accounts, four $100,000 accounts, or any mix up to the $400,000 limit. Other eligibility and prohibited-behaviour restrictions still apply. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-have-more-than-one-account #### Can I trade my accounts at the same time? Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-trade-my-accounts-at-the-same-time #### Can I merge Funded Accounts? Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-merge-funded-accounts #### Does Maximum Drawdown apply across all my accounts together? Each trading account normally has its own metrics. However, account allocation and prohibited behaviour rules can apply across your overall GFN profile. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/does-drawdown-apply-across-all-my-accounts #### Can I create several customer profiles to get around account limits? No. Creating duplicate identities or profiles to circumvent account limits is prohibited. No. Keep your customer dashboard, trading account and payout credentials secure. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/should-i-share-my-login-details #### Will GFN ask me for my password? GFN Support should not need you to send your full account password through social media or other insecure channels. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/will-gfn-ask-for-my-password #### What should I do if I think my account has been compromised? Contact GFN Support immediately and change any credentials you are able to change. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/how-do-i-purchase-an-account #### Is the fee recurring? Unless a specific product clearly states otherwise, the price displayed for the Evaluation/account is the purchase fee for that product rather than a monthly trading subscription. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/is-the-fee-recurring #### Why hasn't my account arrived? First check: - Your payment completed successfully - Your email spam/junk folder - You entered the correct email address - Your GFN dashboard If you still cannot locate your account, contact Support with your order number. Unless a promotion specifically states otherwise, promotional offers should not be assumed to stack. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-discount-codes-be-combined #### I forgot to enter my discount code. Can it be applied afterwards? Discount codes normally need to be entered before payment is completed. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/forgot-to-enter-discount-code #### Can prices change? Yes. GFN may change pricing, discounts or promotions for future purchases. An account already purchased remains subject to the terms attached to that purchase. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-prices-change #### Can I purchase an account for someone else? GFN accounts are intended for the individual who will own, verify and trade the account. If you want to give somebody the value of an account as a gift, contact Support rather than purchasing it under incorrect personal details. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-buy-an-account-for-someone-else #### Can I request a refund? Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances of the purchase and the applicable GFN refund policy. Once an account has been accessed or trading activity has begun, refund rights may be limited according to the Terms & Conditions and applicable consumer law. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-request-a-refund #### What should I do if I accidentally purchase the wrong account? Contact Support immediately and do not trade the account. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/i-bought-the-wrong-account #### What happens if I file a chargeback? Customers should contact GFN Support first if they have a genuine billing dispute. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account restrictions or termination. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-buy-another-account-after-breaching #### I hit my profit target and then dropped below it. Did I still pass? An Evaluation is considered passed once its required conditions have been successfully satisfied and confirmed. Do not assume that briefly touching a target while open positions remain means the account has automatically passed. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/hit-target-then-dropped-below-it #### I made a profit today but my equity is below my balance. Which number matters? Both balance and equity can matter depending on the rule being calculated. Always monitor the official dashboard metrics rather than focusing solely on closed profit. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/equity-below-balance-which-matters #### My trade went negative because of spread immediately after opening. Does that count? Yes. No. Trades placed on the account normally remain part of your trading history. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-support-delete-a-trade #### I closed the bad trade immediately. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/closing-the-trade-after-a-breach #### My internet disconnected while I had an open trade. Am I protected from losses? Internet connectivity is part of the trader's responsibility. Use sensible risk management so that a temporary disconnection does not automatically place your entire account at risk. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/internet-disconnected-with-an-open-trade #### The market gapped through my stop loss. Which price is used? Orders are subject to the execution conditions available in the trading environment. A stop loss is not a guarantee that execution will always occur at the exact requested price during fast or gapping markets. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/market-gapped-through-my-stop-loss #### Can I ask Support for special treatment because I was extremely close to passing? No. The rules need to be applied consistently. Being “$4 away” is still, tragically, $4 away. Source: https://getfundednow.com/faq/can-i-ask-for-special-treatment #### Can GFN change my account rules after I've purchased? The rules applying to your account are governed by the applicable program terms and GFN Terms & Conditions.
