## Drawdown in dollars

The maximum drawdown is 3% of the starting balance on every plan.

### End-of-day trailing (1 Step)

Your floor is set 3% below the highest balance the account has **closed a trading day** at. It is recalculated once a day, after the close. Open profit during the session does not move it, so a winning trade that gives some back before you close it doesn't cost you room. Breaching the floor at any moment - intraday included - ends the account.

### Intraday trailing (Instant)

Your floor follows the highest balance the account reaches **at any moment**, including unrealised profit on open positions, and stays 3% below it. It only ever moves up.

## Consistency

Consistency compares your best day with your total profit. On a 1 Step evaluation that has made $3,000, no single day can account for more than 50% - $1,500. If one day is above the limit, you keep trading until the total is large enough that it isn't. Nothing is failed; the target simply moves until the result is consistent.

## News trading

News trading is allowed during the 1 Step evaluation. On funded accounts - 1 Step and Instant - you may not hold a position through a major scheduled release such as CPI, Non-Farm Payrolls or an FOMC rate decision.

## Position size

The most contracts you may hold at once scales with the account, and is the same in the evaluation and on funded accounts. See the [contract specifications](https://getfundednow.com/futures/contracts) for what one contract is worth per tick.

## First payout (Instant)

Instant accounts have no evaluation, so the first withdrawal opens once the account has made 6% virtual profit. After that, payouts are weekly. 1 Step accounts have already hit their target in the evaluation and have no first payout target.

## Simulated accounts
